playing region 1 discs whilst recording onto hdd problem?

playing region 1 discs whilst recording onto hdd problem?
hello all -

i've just purchased a Panasonic DMR-EH50 & have modified it using http://www.multiregionupgrades.com/ so it'll play region 1 discs

now it'll play region 1 discs fine, except when i'm recording a broadcast onto the hdd...so in effect i cant watch a region 1 disc whilst recording at the same time with region 2 discs all is fine.

any clues?

Panasonic and Pioneer (not sure about other makes) will not allow you to mix systems.So if you are recording PAL tv you cannot play an NTSC dvd.Or vice versa should the occasion arise.

aahhh...thanks for making that clear. thought for a moment that the multiregion upgrade might have had an effect
