if I met Farrah face to face I'd probably want to nuke America, sorry for the 200 miliion nice ones but at least we'd be rid of perhaps 5,000 that might be like her

Oh, I don't think he'd do it. He's too big of a coward. That was just drunken old-man boasting. But he wanted to.

As they say ... in vino veritas.

I had to rewind it to make sure I heard it correctly. In the context, it was very funny.

And that is EXACTLY how toxic people work. They wind GOOD people up to such a pitch that they lash out and then they are seen as the bad guys. No sorry. Know exactly what Chris is saying. You are taking the comment completely out of context, plus Chris said it in a jokey manner. No warning necessary.

It's his seeming hatred for America and not just the hm's who are American who he doesn't like that indicates there's bitterness there, lots of it. There are loads of British people I don't like but it's far outweighed by the amount I do like. There's probably more American's I don't like than do like but I am exposed to way more American's than any other nationality on the whole.

You know he's going to go and punch the first American he sees? That's pretty sick by my standards. One doesn't take their anger at one person out on some random with the same accent, that's really pathetic, if I gave 2 shits about the guy I'd be disgusted but he's just some random whose full of hate, the world is full of them. (sadly)”

!; You're making a massive assumption that Chris wanted to work in America. look at the soap stars who have been playing a character for dozens of years. Some are more than happy with a regular paycheck. You can't possibly know what Chris thinks about his career.

2; I really don't think Chris had any "hatred of Americans" before he came in. Some of them are just getting on his t*ts - that's why he made the comment. Again, you are making a massive assumption about him.

3; Do you really think he's going to do that. Look, no offence, but that is pretty dim. You are taking his JOKEY comment completely out of context. Sure, a well known actor is going to bring himself into disrepute and punch a complete stranger - yeah right, course he ie.

4; "Full of hate"? Massive assumption, and I certainly am not seeing that. he comes across as a reasonable down to earth guy who gives short shift to morons. Have a go at the actual morons, poster, not the person reacting to the morons.

Oh, please. A "good person" wouldn't have it in them to say it in the first place.

And why did he say it? Because he didn't get enough of Jenna's wine to go with all the empty beer bottles sitting in front of him on the table.

Great post! Cannot believe others cannot see this as a typical sarcastic one liner.perfect timing and made me laugh out loud. Thank God for some light relief after listening to that screaming banshee Farrah having a toddler tantrum (apologies to all toddlers for the unfair comparison with that nutjob).

Oh dear.

I think some people are getting a bit desperate in order to save their poorly chosen ones.

I just hope the first person Chris sees when he leaves the house is Perez

Nah. People are trying to make this country PC nuts, but thankfully MOST of the GBP have common sense AND a sense of humour.

Sadly its the few who don't that give us a bad name just like the likes of Farrah & Jenna give their country a bad name.

Shame there isn't a really annoying loud aggressive French person in there to wind Chris up too.

( I AM JOKING !!!!! )

All those who are outraged at Chris's anger and threats... please form an orderly queue for my upcoming auctioning of the Tower Bridge.

A good person may actually joke like that, a bad person would follow through with the action a good person finds relief for their feelings just saying that and doesn't need to carry out the action.

It seemed to me he was just fed up of the fuss over the wine, not he was greedily wanting more.

And this is exactly it, which is why it was funny, he was saying what Burnside would have said in that situation, he even put on the Burnside voice, which is usually far harsher than his own. I'm not surprised that so many Americans don't get it, they probably haven't seen any episodes at all of The Bill.

Even if it was a joke, any casual xenophobia, bigotry or racism only serves to promote the acceptance of such ideas and should be frowned upon by all right thinking people.

Well taking your line of thought on what was a casual fun remark, I think all Devonian & Cornish people should be locked up for what they say about each other.
