Well, before the wine arrived, they had no problem with that. You could see all the empty bottles sitting around them on the table. But they obviously preferred to have Jenna's wine. As James later said, it is the better tasting of the wine that they're given.

And Jenna doesn't get the wine to herself. She shares it with everyone. But just, perhaps, don't you think they should have seen that she got at least a glass of it FIRST? Wouldn't that been the polite thing to do?

Of course it has to be that. Talk about a chip on your shoulder.
The difference was that Jenna doesn't need kosher wine but she does need kosher food.

Do empty bottles on the table mean that the Brits who wanted wine were the ones who drank them though? There were about 4 Brits who had about 1/3rd of a glass each which let 9 or 10 other members of the house.

And does she deserve a glass first? Early on I would have said yes however the minute she kicked up a fuss about not getting a glass of the on kosher wine and then proceeded to drink that wine when someone gave her a glass then no she didn't deserve it. You can't sit there and claim you need special wine because of your religion, then complain that you aren't getting to share others wine when they assume rightly that those following a kosher diet aren't allowed to drink non kosher wine and then after you drink the non-kosher wine complain that people have drank some of your kosher wine again.

And the Brits were polite, they could have filled those glasses to the brim and let none. They had a 3rd of a glass each, it was Farrah who raced out to the wine and emptied the bottle into her glass which was nearly overflowing depriving Jenna (and others) of red wine that night.

Surely the difference is that when Janicd did what she did everyone actually thought she was a practicing Jew, after she complained about not being offered non kosher wine she proved she is a fake Jew who is using the Jewish faith to get preferential treatment.

You can't need Kosher food after all and then not need kosher wine. You can't be Jewish when it comes to solids but not when its liquids

Perhaps Natasha wondered why there we're no yorkshire puddings on an Americans shopping order.

The chance of spotting a bit of context would be a fine thing You can see the effort Ultros has kindly gone to in order to add some for us but some viewers especially the newer ones aren't going to bother because they just want some mindless entertainment(i'm not knocking all forms of mindless entertainment btw) what they don't want is a murder mystery where you have to peace things together or even think about the "why's" of the thing. As long as Farrah is screaming like a banshee the "why" isn't important. It's literally mindless TV and yet people are forming opinions of Americans around it or at least the Americans on the show.

Quote:
“There are plenty of examples where British housemates haven't been fair or just, or they bitch and moan, or they openly display xenophobic anti-American comments and openly express that they shouldn't give a f** about the Americans, and they appear to connive and play games against the others which is sometimes even omitted from the HL show.
But because Farrah can be nasty at times all that is conveniently swept under the carpet and a different reality is constructed.

I don't like Farrah. But many of these British housemates are conveniently excused for their own behaviour and given a free pass, simply because of the presence of Farrah in there.”

That's why they call it constructed reality i guess. I think the real surprise is that after BB has constructed it the viewer moves in, sets up home, and lives it for the duration of the series. That's no small statement either.

I actually do like Farrah. She's a straight shooter and against the back drop of the Brit's and what i see as sporadic passive aggression from them i'd much rather watch her argue with herself than any of the Brits.

Yes Vesna but we are supposed to over look any truth & just blame the Americans its the same every year they do this "them & us" Only difference being this year its actually in the title

I just wish the Americans would give it a broad birth because without them we wouldn't have a show!
