i think i personally would just ignore and pretend she's not even there. she seems to enjoy confrontation. so i wouldn't want to give her what she wants.

Well, considering I haven't seen her start a fight, only react to things said to her, I'd try and not be nasty, or mean, or condescending towards her like I've seen some housemates be, to which she reacted in anger.
But if I did say something she took offense to, I'd apologize for saying it.

Until you can figure out how to make her "want" to not be confrontational, I doubt much will work with her. She lacks the "basics" and at the age of 24, probably will now never change.
