It's a good show - it makes me want to have a go as a buyer and seller of antiques. I should imagine from watching the shows it's hard to make any money from it though.

Indeed it is. These are experts and even they struggle to make a profit sometimes, despite being able to haggle down the purchase price to a ridiculously low figure.
My problem is I can't haggle very well. You have to be quite cheeky (and know the realistic value of what you're buying). The other mistake I make is buying things I really love and then I don't want to part with them!
