The new Apple TV appears to be their Roku or Amazon Fire TV, right down to voice search?
Is this an announcement of "stuff we've copied from the rest of the industry"? I dislike how much they labour over the points about new features. FFS they had Microsoft lamenting about the iPad Pro when they have their own which wipes the floor with it. I was hoping for a new iPad Air, evidently they've shelved that in favour of the bigger and more expensive pro. |

First time I've ever watched an apple keynote.
Are they always this boring? A $100 stylus that needs recharging. Why the hell should a stylus need a battery? A big iPad. I'm a massive apple fan and I've almost dozed off twice. ![]() Maybe i'm just too cynical when it comes to Apple? |

Apple TV looks rather cumbersome........I just don't envisage many people wanting to talk to their telly, few people do it now on smartphones. The remote I am unsure of, the Samsung TV I have has the equivalent of a Wii remote supplied with it, I find that much easier get around.
Pfft disappointing, I wonder who they have chosen to perform at the end of this? |

![]() TV streaming is still v early days in regards to interface and functions. It might be novel to search programmes with voice recognition, but whatever they show today will be very different in 5 years time. |

I bet it's non-removable and Apple charge $30 to replace it

I came here to mention how I found this quite boring and they seem to be getting excited over things we've had in other products for years, but I see that's already been covered

Little behind now as I paused to go feed my dogs but the Apple TV looks like a Wii with Streaming apps.
You swing the remote to control games. |

Why do they have the bloke in the bright pink shirt just come out and say 'wow that was amazing, but what about ......, let's bring up (insert guest name).
Why not just have the previous guest introduce them. |

The iPad Pro is interesting (even if we all knew for about a year it was coming). Especially how it will affect future development of the entry level MacBook and MacBook Air lines.
Charging $100 for a stylus is typical Apple though. And a 32GB entry level iPad Pro, which seems ridiculous for what it can do (and, no, we're not all using the cloud with ridiculous Internet speeds at home, work and out and about). 64GB and 128GB would have been better, and for the Pro line what would have been the harm in adding a card slot? |

Though it doesn't have that sensor or "taptic engine".
Really they are borrowing from the rest of the industry. |

Under what conditions though?
I'm sorry but even Apple like Google, Samsung and Microsoft are known to use non industry standard metrics..... E. ( near all laptops there are Baytrail) The last S6 Exynos and the old A8, both about the same size likely outsize Baytrail, but are they also counting Chromebook as a PC? And yes, dodgy metrics, but we are used to that. |

in fairness I don't think many devices have the "press harder for a different feature". I'm not sure how useful it will be, but it is something dfferent.
