I imagine the 6s will be at least eleventy billion quids knowing apple

Sticking with my 5s though, can't be doing with such a larger screen.

I played with Force Touch on the Huawei Mate S, a phone where Huawei clearly hadn't really put much thought into what you could use it for.

Thing is, on a slick onstage demo it looks great but the sensitivity means you need to be quite precise to tell the phone what you're doing - and that will be tricky if you're walking on a street and trying to get the pressure right.

I suspect in the real world it won't be quite as great as it seems. But, at least the OS has support built in so it has a lot of potential to do better than what Huawei has done thus far.

I cant help think that the 'science bit' in these events has no more value than the science bit in shampoo commercials ....throw out some long words and a CGI animation and make it look more spectacular than it really is

The camera looks like a good improvement, but probably not enough to tempt me into buying this year.

Did they just call Apple's version of vine "revolutionary technology"?

"these are still photos" - I thought videos were just a sequence of still photos that changed really quickly?

"Live Photos can have sound" ....

didn't samsung have a similar BS feature around the S4 or S5?

Loads of phones have the ability to add audio to a photo (add Huawei and HTC to the list). Then there's the moving image thing on Windows Phone.

At the end of the day, most people just want to take good camera stills. Photos that look good whatever the environment and can be shared as easily as possible.

The iPhone has always done well for stills, and I do think Apple needs to stop trying so hard. It doesn't need to.

Looks like it isn't getting the recently rumoured resolution bump, theres not much of note from this keynote

Nothing much exciting on the 6s+6s+ but new camera is quite good. Might upgrade my 5S to 6 now depending on how much it costs.

Well that was extremely underwhelming.

Perhaps they should invent the iDictionary so someone can explain the world 'everything' to apple.

Nothing's changed but everything.

Clearly those in charge have a different definition of 'everything' to the rest of the world.

Another event where it feels that Apple is responding to what the industry has already done (good or bad) and even the TV advertising seems to be selling to people already doing things, rather than Apple creating and inventing new things for them to do.

Will there be another event this year or is that it? Are the 10 inch iPads getting a refresh?

All rather underwhelming- not much innovation today.

Apple makes great hardware there's just no innovation these days

$299 for a 16gb 6s plus but £619 for the same thing? $299 is £195 so why is it so much more expensive here in the uk?

You're joking right.

That's contract pricing.

Those U.S. prices aren't sim free. You get tied into a 24 month contract on top of that price.

It did, it's an all new 12MP camera. There was even a slide show showing the new camera while he explained it.

Maybe the new 6 has an increase in screen resolution. I'd be embarrased to mention the current screen if I was Apple.

There are always silent bits to any Apple update.

Why post so you look stupid?

If you didn't watch the presentation and can't be bothered to go and check specs then just ask here and people can tell you, rather than just post a little ignorance and a stupid comment.

It's almost like you are just trolling for a reaction .

Well I was considering getting a new iPad Pro but for that price I will just get a GTX 980Ti.

The new iPhones easily exceeded my expectations. Performance is astounding, once you use the new 3D Touch experience you'll never want to go back, the already great camera is now even better, live photos, vastly improved touch id technology, you can go on and on and on.

The best just got better and I'm definitely upgrading my 6 Plus to one of these new beauties. It's a no brainer.

Is this Tim Cook? Or Phil Schiller perhaps?
