Well one thing you could take from her to become a better poster yourself, I hope Channel 5 maybe someday will see sense and drop Summer CBB after this series.. Also the Big Brother live feed is still worth the fight as a hour per weekday is not enough. She was a great poster and will be missed.

Very Wonkey. And although I saw when she decided to become only an occasional visitor with facts and gems to the BB forum, she was undoubtedly the Most Eloquent Warrior on General Discussion. It had crossed my mind that she was missing in action when the migrant and refugees story broke - compassion was her natural territory and although she'd have been in a minority would have been worth 20 posters for 'the other side'.
A confession - we were often on opposite sides of debates (occasionally sharing a viewpoint) and there were times her well-constructed arguments won me over. I suspect this happened to others too, even though we kept up the typing for the cause.
The thing is... I'm 100% sure that if Wonkey had changed her viewpoint mid-lengthy-thread, she'd have openly said so, or conceded a point. That takes maturity and courage, something Wonkey displayed at all times.

So far as I can recall, Wonkey didn't watch much live feed, though. Perhaps she watched more when there was a HM she especially liked. It's impressive that she could know so much about BB largely from the highlights (and reading the forum).

This is really sad news.

I shall miss her posts, she was someone who stood out over many years with thoughtful and we'll written contributions.

I don't post much recently, but Wonky will always be one I remember from here for enjoyable posts.

Condolences to her family and friends.

RIP Wonky.

I've only just found out about this and am shocked and saddened to hear about wonkeydonkey. I didn't even know that she was ill.

She was one of my favourite forum members. She always posted on the forums in a very mature, logical, sensible and articulate manner. I found myself agreeing with a lot of what she said. She preferred watching BB to see how people deal with living inside a house together and how they cope with it rather than "big characters" creating conflicts, and that's what I prefer too.

Sadly, she became too disillusioned with BB and stopped watching after BB14, (which when you think about how badly received BB15 was, is something she probably didn't regret doing). I don't know whether BB will ever go back to the way we both prefer it to be, but if it does, it's a shame that she won't be around to see it.

RIP, wonkeydonkey. You will be missed.

She was the best. Her, at times ,singlehanded defence of Linda Nolan a couple of years ago was magnificent to behold.

This thread, and the one in GD, are uplifting to read as all posters are in positive agreement with each other.
I hope when Wonkey's family are ready to read them, they'll gain comfort from how highly she was regarded.
RIP Wonkeydonkey.

I've just logged on to say this is very sad news, Wonkey will be deeply missed, esp on GD where I always found her to be one of the more polite, controlled, and honest contributors.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
Came on to look at St Bobby's backlash and noticed this so after 4 years away from BB I logged in to say I loved her posts, they were full of kindness and generosity to even the most obnoxious HMs. What a great Mum she must have been

She will be very much missed.

I remember when we were both on the Luke A appreciation and I remember the way she replied to posts about Luke, they were full of incite, decorum but also a good and healthy debate without negativity. I think that was the only year I remember that I did not rush in and reply to negative posts in my usual "bull in the china shop way" and also the appreciation thread remained so positive and friendly, mainly thanks to WD and some of my other fav posters.

My deepest condolences to her family but I hope they will take some comfort in the fact WD was highly respected on here for her wonderful posts. She will never be forgotten.

Shit. That's the first time I've actually had a real sinking feeling on here, because I remember Wonky well and talked to her a few times on here, and she was a great poster.

One of those people that even when you disagreed, you could see she was making great points.

Genuinely sad. My condolences to her family.
