I have to agree with you there fredster. She was incomparable.
She was and I always voted her my favourite fm when anyone dared to start a thread about the subject.

Hello everyone. I have asked Wonkey Donkey's daughter for permission to put a link here to a Just Giving page set up in her memory by the family, in aid of the hospice where she was nursed during her last few days. I hope it won't be against the T&Cs of the site.

I know that one or two people wanted to send flowers but maybe a small donation here instead would be very much appreciated. xx

Thank you, zeebra, for the link

I missed that the firs time around. I'm going to try to do just that.

I'll also try to keep the multi-quote style present in these forums, since I do that anyway.

Thanks, zeebra, and like ValW I was brought to tears as the pictures mixed with memories.
Thank you Veri. Good to see that the multi quote style will not die out while you are around.

If we going back to the discussion on Big Brother, I do think Channel 5 should bring back full live feed and stop with this stupid Big Brother clone that is pleasuring no one.

As it's only a fake eviction tonight it would be nice if we could Tweet this link during the show with the #CBB hashtag. The hospice would appreciate the donations more than the show needs the voting money.

That's a lovely idea.

it's weird, I'm still getting a small 'sinking' pang every time I come on this forum and see this thread at the top. Almost as if I'm hoping for an update to say it's not so.

That's a pretty powerful reaction to someone I didn't know and had only a very brief online encounter with. WD really made a remarkable mark.

A great idea - it's a rubbish vote tonight, one Wonkey would have smartly picked to pieces in her heydey of BB commenting - anyone who does spend money voting might like to send it to the hospice instead.

Do you know I feel exactly the same! I just feel so sad every time I come onto the forum as and see that thread title. Wonkey was the same age as me - you never know what's around the corner.

How old was Wonkey, btw? I don't think I've ever known.

Meanwhile, here's another classic Wonkey thread: Do you find it hard supporting a really unpopular housemate on here?

Far far too young.

Seeing the pictures of Wonkey brought a tear to my eye, you could see the warmth, the inner happiness, and how full of life she looked - very much how I would have imagined her. Gone far far too young, but I have no doubl she brought everyone in the world who was close to her so much joy in her time here. Thinking of her friends and family - RIP a wonderful lady.

Three weeks older than me

I guessed she was a similar age - I really identified with much of what she posted.

Thanks for doing this. And how lovely to see a photo of her! It feels so strange to say she looks like I imagined she would because she doesn't.... but then again she does. I don't know, I guess she just looks like a wonkeydonkey should

Over £500 raised in a day, wow thank you! A lovely comment there from Luke Anderson and his wife as well.

Yes I wondered too, not quite 59, bless her! It really is so sad, as that's far too young for somebody so intelligent and full of life still! Same age as my brother when he died and it's very hard to lose somebody so close from such a horrible disease!

R,I.P Wonkeydonkey, you will be sorely missed here on DS!
