Very sad news to hear.

My time on here, and as a fan of BB in general, is pretty much defined by wonkey. We both posted on the old C4 BB forum, before jumping ship for here in 2007. We were both voracious posters for a time (although she ultimately had more stamina than me), and it seems we grew tired of BB at around the same time. And, although I disagreed with her on a number of issues, I never doubted that compassion and fairness lay at the heart of her musings.

To my mind, she was the matriarch of DS:BB, and the size of this thread and the generosity of the comments within just confirms that.

I'll miss her.

Sad news.

I often agreed with WD and as often disagreed mainly to her growing dislike of where BB was going while I tried to remain as positive as I could about the show and its housemates.

I dont come here much at all now for several reasons, some regarding the forum but other reasons are for reasons of my disability so I wont necessarily miss Wonkeys posts, and I didnt know her on a personal level but I do feel sad that the forum has lost possibly one of its best ever contributors to the BB section and from what I gathered about her views the world has lost a decent kind hearted person who did not shy away from defending HMs who got torn apart here.

Thoughts with any friends, family or anyone who knew her,she came across as a grounded, spirited and unique person.

RIP WD

Very very sad to hear this, she was a feisty poster but never mean or unkind. She clearly loved Big Brother and was very gentle with new posters. A huge loss, my thoughts are with her family.

I haven't been posting much recently, and only just heard about Wonkey. I feel very saddened. She was a fair and articulate poster who never resorted to unkindness and ungraciousness. We didn't always agree, but to debate with her was a civilised and rational activity, and she always deserved and earned respect for the way she expressed her views.

DS will be a poorer place without her.

Obviously I didn't know her personally but I know her name her because of her posts here.

I hope her bereaved loved ones get some solace from the heartfelt love expressed by so many on this thread.

RIP WonkeyDonkey.

It looks like Shabby's left a comment on her Meadow House Hospice page. She was one of those divisive housemates that Wonkeydonkey would support with great passion and conviction.

As an aside, I was looking at Meadow House's other fundraisers and, for any Doctor Who fans here, it happens to be the same hospice that cared for the late, great Elisabeth Sladen.

Just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear this sad news. I remember wonkey being involved in digital big brother 7 game I hosted back in 2010 ish.

I loved how gutsy she was and was a great sparing partner to many on the forum in the nicest way possible. God how we grow up. Lol. In the end it doesn't really matter.

My thoughts are with her family at this time.

As a long time lurker (but not much of a poster on the BB forum) it's really lovely to see some of the old posters coming into the thread to leave their lovely messages. User names you had thought you had forgotten then seeing them again takes you back in time

Such a respectful thread.

RIP WD, we had such good conversations back in the day - you will be missed. We tended to agree about hms, such laughs we had too - I was Alluring back in those day.

So sad to hear about Wonkey

I remember her from BB Gossip and we were scared to post here on DS as it was considered very harsh, but when that closed and we made the transition here Wonkey really came into her own with her knowledge and feisty attitude. She often supported the less popular HMs like myself and defended them much better than I could.

I will miss you Wonkey, may your stardust find a wonderful new home

Very sad news indeed.

I hardly post here (in fact I had to log in to post this), and obviously never knew WonkeyDonkey in real life but my deepest sympathies and condolences to her family. She brought a lot to this forum and I'm sure 99% of posters will have chatted to her at some point. May she rest in piece.

Wonkeydonkey made the forum and not just the Big Brother forum a better place and I always enjoyed reading her posts. I recall a debate I had with her about ' when Big Brother Jumped The Shark.'

I also remember another debate I had with her when Big Brother became too controversial and when and why the channel 4 producers allowed this to happen.

My condolences to her family and friends, may she rest in peace.
