definitely. We have to tiptoe around anything that might be considered remotely offensive to muslims on pain of death (literally sometimes), but anti-Jewish or anti-Christian sentiments are just 'banter'

I mean she drank non-kosher wine poured by a non Jew and handed to her by another non Jew. She also clearly ate the food in her fridge after Janice touched every item in there thus making it non Kosher as a 'lesser person' had touched it”

And Chloe and Stevie claimed to be very religious but they sleep together and on national television. And Chris likes Gin and Tonic which BB supplied and he drank happily so what was the fuss?

FYI the food is in shrink wrap so unless Janice opened all the packages she only touched the celery.

Curious as to why anyone here thinks they are an authority on a religion they clearly do not belong to and clearly know nothing at all about. I only know that keeping Kosher is very difficult and that's all I need to know because unlike many I RESPECT others choices and feel no need to bang on about things that don't concern me. I choose to live a religion FREE life, but I don't mock or disrespect people who choose to live a more religious life. Or try to anyway.

Funny (well more predictable really) how there have been so many threads mocking Jenna's choice to convert to Judaism and her trying to keep kosher but not ONE thread on the hypocrisy of Stevie and Chloe. So what I've learned is Christians who go against their stated beliefs are fine but heaven forbid someone Jewish slips up or doesn't manage to follow all the rules to the letter.

Have you seen Orange is the New Black This was an actual story line. The prisoners pretended to be Jewish to get better food and even attempted to convert. I'm not aware of any complaints about this particular joke

It doesn't really, that's more a Muslim thing. Being kosher is more about certain requirements in deciding if a product is deemed clean that include characteristics of the animal/produce (So a cow is considered clean but a pig isn't, a fish with scales is considered clean but something like a crab that doesnt isn't considered clean) down to the way things are planted. There are also laws on the way food can be mixed and the likes.

Finally to remain kosher at no point can a non-Jew touch it. So for wine the vine has to be planted by a Jew, the grape picked by a Jew, the wine produced by a Jew, bottled by a Jew, shipped to the store by a Jew, stacked on a shelf by a Jew, sold by a Jew, taken home by a Jew, poured by a Jew, the glass passed by a Jew before being consumed by a Jew. The minute a none Jew touches it during that process it stops being kosher.

A friend of mine is in Orange is the New Black. She's nothing like the fictitious character she plays on it. Have a nice life Trevor, we're done.

Wow. I never knew that.

So I assume that it can only be found in specialist retailers?

Why is it offensive if you joke about someone's religious beliefs but, you are able to joke about any other beliefs someone may have and it isn't classed as offensive?

Are you Jewish? I'm not so I'm only going by what I've read. And from what I've read, this is not true.

I think Chris just spoke his mind, without disecting his own words. Maybe some remarks could have caused hand-mouth actions to some listeners/viewers, I dont think he was intentionally out to offend.

After all its just his interpretation of his experience

Personally he laughs all the way to the bank... a couple of weeks doing very little, good fee, sorted.

Because people who are religious, take their beliefs very seriously. And it wouldn't be offensive just to that one person, but to the whole religion. That's why I wouldn't say it. You can say whatever you want. But I can say I think you're wrong for saying it. That's the way the world works.

Bottom line, this thread has NOTHING TO DO WITH AMERICANS. It's about Chris, and whether what he said in his interview was anti-Semetic.

See? What's that to do with "The Americans? Not a flipping thing, But yet, here you are bringing up "Americans" while defending the bad behavior of a Brit.

I'm also fed up with anti-American bigotry so freely allowed on this board., displayed by posters like this one.”

So because i say things i don't like about the American's it makes me a bigot ? ok, i guess you haven't noticed that my favourite HM is actually American. Also, how am i defending the "bad behaviour" of a Brit ? there is no bad behaviour to defend.

Maybe i just think Jenna and Farrah are a ridiculous, moronic, idiots who are full of themselves and make no sense when they argue and overexaggerate everything with the words they use, everything is so overdramatic with them ( same with Scoop and Janice too ) They are thick people who have no likeable qualites. If you have a problem with the things i say about them then maybe you should blame them, they are the ones who are making the Americans look bad.

He didn't mock the wine, nor the Rabbi.

He would have liked to have the same type of Wine. and for a Rabbi to bless it too.

You seem to be unaware that there are many types of Jews who follow the faith.
What you've posted only the Orthodox Jews follow.

She is not orthodox, she wouldn't be able to be on the show if she was.
Didn't google tell you there were different types of Jews?
