Eastenders - Is there a reason to homeless Cora?
She went to stay with her daughter after Stan's death but didn't make it instead become a homeless lush living in Jim's old shed and Abi seems to lost all her concern for her, rather a weird turn of events for her character.

Cora is back on the Square having moved in with Dot. Abi is too wrapped up with her blind infatuation with Ben and sending her innocent Father down for Murder.
Homeless Cora needs to be explained in my opinion. We know Babe calls the police next week on Cora but what about the Carter's and Tanya?- none of them cared about Cora after Stan died. If and when Tanya returns she will no doubt receive a frosty welcome from her Mother and can you blame her? |

DTC needs to address the disappearance and her alcoholism because Cora may be an old lush although some of the Cora non-likers say less than nicer words about her on here.- there is however a serious issue here that should be developed into a mental health storyline.

I asked on here not long ago why:
1. Tanya didn't think to raise this with Abi or Max when she (presumably) was expecting Cora to come over to Devon. 2. Abi had no idea for months and how she seemingly wasn't in contact with Tanya from April despite being fairly close to her. Usually, parents and children who get on well do talk to each other. Even if she was all 'loved up' with Ben (or so she thinks lol) it still makes no sense. Like didn't she think to call Tanya a few days after Cora left to see if she had settled in? If she learned that Cora hadn't turned up she could have called the police or something. |

To be incredibly boring and annoying, it seems.

She couldn't get through to Tanya and despite leaving a message on Tanya's phone she never rang her mother back.
Plausible as ever

Crystal Waters is an American dance vocalist who had a big hit in the early 90s called Gypsy Woman, about a homeless person.

I tweeted DTC last night about Cora's homelessness and alcoholism and mentioned that this would be a good mental health storyline- Cora's alcoholism needs to be addressed.

Cora is becoming slightly more on our planet now. I think she will open up to Dot in the next few episodes. I think Cora simply had a breakdown. I am not surprised. Her husband died and the carters were up their arses to not inform her. Going into the vic and telling them like it is still ranks as one of my fav scenes this year as she summed up The Carters well. It's always about them. Plus Abi was rarely there for her anyway. Tanya is off living her life. As is Lauren but in New Zealand. Her and Max have never seen eye to eye. Her friendship with Patrick was strained. Cora has been all on her own for a while and she seeked comfort in Stan. Once he was gone, she simply had enough. It's very sad but when you look back, I think her breakdown was a long time coming.
