He did say something about if he heard someone with an American accent after he leaves the house he would chin them. Or something like that. So sounds a bit racist! Lol
The "chin them" comment was an obvious joke. And no, I don't think he hates Americans - he may just hate the Americans he had to live with.

But if he said the same thing about a Muslim, he probably would of been chucked out even if he was joking.
I only heard him say he never wants to hear another American accent ever again or something like that! Never heard anything about chinning anyone....

As someone who's neither British nor American I found the whole thing surreal and uncomfortable; from Emma-bot whooping up about the Brits 'fighting back' and the crowd cheering at every mention of how well the British were getting on together; to Chris' 'awww look at the sweet, grumpy old man' bigoted attitude towards 'Mericans' in general.
Very odd, very off putting and quite shocking, I would imagine, to any 'foreigners' watching.

This ^ I hate the basic premise of this series.
I'd say more stubborn and small-minded. But I can't really blame him as he's simply embracing the theme of the series.
He absolutely has issues with Americans. And every American they put in there was his worse nightmare, loud.

He doesn't have an issue with Americans, he has an issue with certain TYPES of Americans. He praised Austin a lot.
