He did say something about if he heard someone with an American accent after he leaves the house he would chin them. Or something like that. So sounds a bit racist! Lol

no, you could tell he was joking

No he wasn't.

The "chin them" comment was an obvious joke. And no, I don't think he hates Americans - he may just hate the Americans he had to live with.

But if he said the same thing about a Muslim, he probably would of been chucked out even if he was joking.

I always thought that indians were the true race of America.

Muslims are not a race, nor are Americans.

That's the thing, because obviously there isn't a Muslim accent, but then if the comment was made about a predominantly non white country, would have sounded very off (i'm black btw so not being funny)

So if he said he never wants to see a Nigerian again you'd consider that racist?
I wouldn't.

As someone who's neither British nor American I found the whole thing surreal and uncomfortable; from Emma-bot whooping up about the Brits 'fighting back' and the crowd cheering at every mention of how well the British were getting on together; to Chris' 'awww look at the sweet, grumpy old man' bigoted attitude towards 'Mericans' in general.

Very odd, very off putting and quite shocking, I would imagine, to any 'foreigners' watching.

Racist? No. Ignorant and bigoted? Yup. In keeping with the entire series thus far.

I was just going to say American isn't a race and you have reminded me that actually it is!

This ^ I hate the basic premise of this series.

Racist? I think you mean xenophobic? And the answer is no

I'd say more stubborn and small-minded. But I can't really blame him as he's simply embracing the theme of the series.

God, it's 2015! Do grown adults still don't know the difference between racism and Xenophobia?

He absolutely has issues with Americans. And every American they put in there was his worse nightmare, loud.

I donīt have a dog in this fight (am neither American nor British) but I can't help feeling a bit offended for the Americans at the bias and agenda of the producers.

I spit out my drink when Chris said the British don't act that way. He is either blinded by his xenophobia or has NEVER watched CBB before when they shove in all the British reality TV "stars".

He doesn't have an issue with Americans, he has an issue with certain TYPES of Americans. He praised Austin a lot.
