I wholeheartedly agree with this. This is a competitive game and the Americans are notoriously more competitive than the British.......no emotions are colouring their decisions and I take my hat off to them.

Because they're being paid for this job they are doing.

The producers briefed them and as they producers are the ones that hired them and are paying them to do this job they're doing it.

Yes it's called a game but CBB is a job, that they are being paid rather handsomely for.

They're trying to entertain to be big characters to get involved. They don't have the often seen British Celebrity attitude that's it's a holiday, all they need to do is sit about drinking and smoking and yawning and wait to be evicted or win.

To be fair to them, BB USA is FAR more focussed on tactics, alliances and the game as opposed to just being in a house with a group of people. Add a USA vs UK narrative into the mix, and its not too surprising how seriously they're taking it all.

You mean unlike the way Bobby just kind of dabbled at being first prime minister, and then king?

But yeah, the Americans are taking it so seriously.

I think they forgot to explain the rules of the game to Jenna and Farrah, they are fine to stand up and nominate but my god how dare anyone nominate them, go figure that one ..

Exactly, the Americans are EARNING their money and providing entertainment to boot.....unlike the Brits.

True,

But I do think the Anericans are de briefed before hand in some kind of way-to cause friction as I remember that's what Marc In the last BB was told to do before he went in there,so certainly they are briefed in some way how to act as it is exactly what the producers want isn't it?

They're on steroids. Also, they seem to think that the UK viewers, who (allegedly) decide the winner, are keen on this kind of mania. I'm not. I'm really not keen on telling someone who just happens to live here, and is married to a Brit, that he has to stick with nationality x, y, or z, because the god known as BB said so. Doh! Austen has a lot to lose if he 'ditches' the UK, as it's here that he lives. And I'm really not into nationalities...the playing of anthems, saluting flags, singing anthems, all of that "We're Americans" and "We're Brits"....pure hell to observe.

It's at times like these, that I really appreciate old Rex, the ginger rascal who broke a lot of BB rules in the ordinary BB, and refused to comply.

To be fair on Scoop, he has to take it seriously since he keeps hearing that he's apparently doing a bad job. They don't seem to like any approach he takes, there's always someone that's unhappy.

If someone accused me of doing a bad job of something then I'd happily treat them to a long speech about the good things I'm doing and how I'm trying my best.

Oh I agree, the Celebrity Brits are obviously de briefed too,but when they get in there a lot of them treat it like a holiday instead of a job,

I wouldn't say all the Americans are. Austin has the right balance. When it comes to his team during his task it seems like he puts his all in but when it's not competition time he hangs around with the people he likes spending time with. Scoop seems to have gone slightly ott with the president thing this week and farrah and Jenna seem to think because you are on team USA you can't be friends with the Brits. There's being competitive and then there's being constantly negative and bitchy. I mean they were going to vote James for eviction just because he his friends with Austin. Some of them need to get a grip imo.

Thing is if they weren't taking it so seriously then we wouldn't have all the arguments and tension in there.

They are making the show that is for sure, but they sure don't like someone sticking it up them, which makes for more tension and gripping viewing...well maybe not gripping, but very watchable in a car crash kind of way.

It's true, the Americans are more competitive, plus they're not savvy about how UKBB works.

The Brits, on the other hand, would just treat it as a holiday if it was left to them.

i don't think the Americans understand its a popularity contest at the end of day and the viewer decides which one of them wins. They're just more bothered about taking the brits down. The brits know what they're doing and it will probably work for them in the end.

No, in a 'let's keep our heads down until payday' type of thing.

Sometimes arguments are not worth 'poking our heads up' for,
