That's fair enough, we all interpret it differently. To me, they are treating her as though her negligence caused it which is a little different but i can see where you're coming from.

They are quite similar though in respect that she decides to drink which impairs her senses leading to danger for others.

The scenario, as everybody until Tracy's confession understands it, is that Carla drank so much that she was not capable of deeping her flat safe, ie lighting and leaving a candle. Lighting a candle can be dangerous, it shouldn't be done and left due to the danger of it causing something else to catch fire and by drinking so much that she passed out she was irresponsible and that irresponsibility caused deaths.

I hope Carla does not let Alya take back her resignation, and that she tells the owner of |McNees of all the spiteful things Alya has been doing; she should definitely not give her a reference. Were we ever told if Alya is pregnant or not?

Maybe Aiden could write her reference

"What I think Alya lacked in the position was a goal"

It was nice of Carla to let Alya have her job back. Aiden took the view that Alya had shafted them once and might again. She would not have had a personal motive now that she no longer believed Carla started the fire that killed her dad. So, Carla had compassion for Alya and knew they had both been victims of Tracy starting the fire.
