I think she is tougher than she wants us to believe. She seems to be able to turn to tears very quickly, l know she is suppose to be bi polar as well as her other conditions, but one would assume she is taking medication for that.

Can't bear her. She is coming across awfully at the moment.

She hates Chloe and Stevi, that's good enough for me

That was extremely passive aggressive when she apologised to Chloe because 'apparently' everybody is going on about it.

That must be one of the worst apologies I've ever heard by anybody.

Are those the only two facets of one's personality which can exist?

I thought it was a bit rich when she mocked Chloe for crying.

This.

And this. Sorry - not stalking you - promise!

Both of these incidents were quite odd. Gail seems to have a major issue with Chloe but because there's SUCH a focus on the UK/US divide, we have had no real inkling of what's behind this conflict.

Take Farrah and Natasha - we've seen that brewing from the first night. Similarly other UK/US conflicts. But it's clear that Gail has quite the issue with Chloe and I, for one, have no idea what it springs from. I'd like to know, BB producers; I know it doesn't fit your narrow, infantile narrative - but get off your arses and give us a more balanced picture.

No I'm not. I made a mistake and quoted the wrong post.
I rectified my post presumably as you were replying to me. Sorry for accidentally quoting you.

I wonder if she's slightly jealous of Chloe because Chloe's got someone she can emotionally lean on. Therefore when Chloe's upset she can just go off with Stevi, whereas Gail feels like a burden on people when she's emotional.”

I also wonder if jealousy plays a part in Gail's hostility towards Chloe, but more in the way of jealousy at Chloe's youthful beauty. Maybe too much of a reminder of what Gail once had but has lost.

Whatever lies at the root of it, her antipathy towards Chloe just seems way OTT, and rather than confront the likes of Farrah or Jenna over their unpleasant behaviour she instead chooses the easy target of Chloe to take her angst out on. It's quite pathetic really.

Gail has always been dislikable and unpleasant, all this sweet and innocent act was getting tedious.

Her reaction to noms, criticism and fake apologies just adds further to it.

It's simple Gail is being targeted in her eyes for being the weak link, Chloe is the only other person that's sensitive and weak in Gails eyes........so she's an easy target and the only person Gail can give it back too with no repercussions.

Gail isn't a nice person hair or no hair.

Possibly, because a couple of night's ago I saw what I thought was jealousy when she reacted to James telling her that he wished he'd been kissed by Jenna Jameson in reference to earlier in the day when they were eating fruit off each other.
She asked him why not her (Gail instead of Jenna) and then said that she 'can't stand that', and the mood just suddenly changed and there was a pause where no one seemed to know what to say.

It suddenly turned from a fun conversation into Gail making everyone feel bad about her losing her hair.

It did seem to me that Gail was jealous of the idea of James fancying Jenna and not her, even though he was just joking in a laddish way.

I had to laugh at Gail saying she didn't have time for Chloe's crying.

Of all people...

Gail is jealous of the younger and prettier Chloe, and because she can see that she is vulnerable, and unlikely to fight back, she goes for her. Gail is a nasty piece of work in my opinion. All that obsession with the kitchen is simply an expression of her need to get her own way.

I don't think she's as fragile and sensitive as she makes out. She has a hard edge to her and she can be blunt and very dismissive towards people.

Loved it when Chloe demanded a hug for her. The look on her face looked like she though she'd asked her to do something disgusting.

And then joining in on Austin mocking her for crying. From the petal who cries when the wind blows hard? Just shut up, Gail.

I really had high hopes for Gail at the start of this show - I'm old enough to remember her as a young, beautiful children's presenter and I admired (and still do) how she's coped with the crap hand life subsequently dealt her.

However, the more I see of her the more I dislike her. Like the thread says I find her very passive aggressive, hypocritical and a fun sucker sometimes.

I have no clue why she has such a problem with Chloe. I mean don't get me wrong, those two as a couple get on my wick as I don't buy the fact that they're a genuine couple at all (but that's a discussion for another thread) but as people they seem likeable and harmless. I quite like Chloe's naive, ditsy, posh thing she's got going on (fake or not) and find it quite disappointing to watch Gail snipe away at her.

Obvious she's cried all the tears in the house and now is going to attack the weakest other housemate. Terrible behaviour.
