They may have tried to be a bit controlling (failing miserably) having a 16 year old daughter with baby going out dating while they babysat.

As for her losing the father of the baby, the only mention of him in the show, as far as I recall, was her getting annoyed in the early pregnancy when he tried to ring her and her blocking him saying she doesn't want anything to do with him. She was off dating others while pregnant.

I never got the impression of a girl who had a hard upbringing, I only saw what I would call a girl who wanted everything her way or no way. In fact I thought she was spoilt as her parents didn't seem able to control her even at that age. Only her opinion counts to her.”

I watched the same thing and interpreted the same way as you did. She wasn't from a bad background, she had a stable family, quite an affluent house and cars etc what I do remember is her talking to and treating her mother like filth. Even back then I thought that this girl was a nasty brat. Unfortunately they've allowed her to carry on in the same manner, and catered to her demands with her playing on how hard done by she is. The girl is responsible for her own lifes course, but the show definitely highlighted the fact that shes just unpleasant and that her 'nice' family environment wasn't to blame for the development of this girl. From what we've seen she had quite a decent environment in which could've thrived in had she decided to go down a different path in life.

A story which can be claimed by thousands and thousands of women around the world and throughout time (including my own grandmother).

I hear that her parents may have abused her but there never seems to be any source or verification or description of the nature of that so maybe there is something ... I don't know. ”

umm theres a mugshot floating about of her mum after being arrested for assaulting her..and yes Farrah had injuries to prove it. Hell I saw her mother hitting her across the face on the show in the car one show and she was a total control freak.

Farrah drove her mum to the brink at times.

She was more interested in partying, drinking and dating then taking care of her child, leaving her mum with the baby and placing her in a predicament where SHE had to look after the child even when she had a job to go too. Farrah didn't care she just acted out all the time, anyone would snap after watching Farrahs behaviour...... as I recall.

Well if her Mother struck her, she shouldn't have. What was the outcome was her mother charged? convicted?

But even if her mother did strike her, I feel sad for her but it still doesn't make her special in the sense of OMG she has really been through it. As I said thousands of women raise children alone, bereaved, without support from a wider family, get exploited, thumped and worse, have to do physically hard, low paid work to provide for the child etc. This has been the lot of thousands of women throughout time and is the lot of hundreds of thousands of women today, now as we speak.

It seems she has had some crosses to bear but nothing so far to suggest her crosses are anything out of the ordinary.

There was one show where she took Sophia to visit her dads grave so he was definitely mentioned more than once . As for her parents her mother was horrendous and a total control freak. I remember one episode where Farrahs councillor was appalled as her mother didn't want Farrah to take her own daughter with her when she moved. In my opinion her mother was awful. Its certainly not normal to whack your child on tv where I come from and her other daughter also wasn't so complimentary about her,

Farrah's past seems to get more Dickensian with every reality show she does. MTV have created a monster and they continue to feed her ego by booking her for shows like CBB.

Yes - she's clearly making a good living out of being a nasty little cow. I suppose the work/money would soon dry up if she altered her behaviour in any way. She really has no incentive to 'be nice'. It doesn't pay - I suppose. I guess she has to up the ante on every appearance. She certainly wasted no time on opening night when she was talking about spitting on the bitch and throwing a bottle at her etc.

I've watched 16 and Pregnant, and all of her Teen Mom series. I'm not sure about talk of her parents abusing her, unless she means when her mum slapped her? Her dad has always come across as a lovely man, extremely tolerant of her and her behaviour, and they always seemed to be pretty close and had a good relationship. Her relationship with her mum has certainly been rocky though. I recall Farrah moving to Florida, and leaving her daughter Sophia with her parents back home in Iowa (I believe that's where they lived at the time?) Would you do that if they had abused you as a child?

Losing the father of her daughter in the way she did is obviously a terrible thing, but I see that as no excuse as to why she is has vile as she is.

I never watched any of it so its good to get your views on her previous appearances on television.
Do you know that she is selling herself now as 'a motivational speaker'?
I wonder if anyone has hired her.
