silicone bakeware

Have it gone out of fashion? Used to be loads of it around, very little now.

My old tins are just that old and since I want to start baking again I need some new ones, I got some silicone patty tins but i was going to look for silicone cake or sponge tins.
Maybe best to get metal ones I suppose./

We got rid of most of our silicone bakeware. Didnt get the same results as metal, either for cakes or pastry. We kept a couple of round and square cake ones as they are quite useful for no-bake type things .

If you have a TK Max nearby they have quite a good selection of good quality inexpensive bakeware.

Cheers, I have heard other people say that Silicone is not as good as it is made out to be. I am going into town in a bit, once I get myself moving, I will have a loot around. We do have a TKmax, it is in the new shopping centre now and I have not been in there, i tend to avoid that place to be honest.
Thanks anyway
