She's an oddball character yet quite endearing in that "mad old Auntie" kind of way.

Her edit has completely changed in the past few days. Since Daniel left, there's no focus on her laziness or selfishness, and instead we're seeing her more comical side - the yoga with Stevi, the legs behind her head in the diary room etc. I don't think she'll win, but she'll come out of it well.
I doubt it, even though she's been growing on me quite a bit.
James seems the most likely winner at the moment, with Bobby (particularly after tonight's grandstanding) and Natasha probably being his main competition.

That's an interesting thought, has Janice's behavior changed? Or has her edit? Either wayI'm liking her more now than ever. I'd like to think she could win but it does seem unlikely. However endearing her eccentricities she still has a bunch of neuroses which I'm guessing will put most people off.

I have a horrible feeling it could be Natasha. But she'll probably stall at 2nd/3rd and nice normal James will win.
I laughed several times during last night's show and it was down to Janice each and every time. Her looks of mock horror during the nominations were particularly funnyl.
Maybe it is at least partly down to getting a more favourable edit, but of late she's become the show's light relief. That can only be to her benefit.

I don't know so much. I know there is this idea around that the audience are not willing to 'allow' an American winner but I am not so sure I buy that.
Each series has had only one or two Americans and they haven't done badly over the years. Gary won, Speidi were runners up, so was Jermaine Jackson. The obnoxious Coolio was third wasn't he? I seem to recall The Sitch did OK and didn't Face (Dirk thingy) come 3rd or 4th?. I am not sure if Prince Lorenzo counts as American or not, but wasn't he a finalist?
So given that they are only about 15% of the contestants going in and don't have the profiles over here that people from Corrie etc have they do OK. Don't they?

I hope she ends up in the top 3. I love her connection to Chloe and Stevie and her overall gravity towards the brits.
It'd be nice to have her win something for once she's such a great big character and she seems to like it here.
I'm just glad she's come over her low patch following her warning.

I find everything about her very irritating, I have no time for the ditzy oddball persona.
I always thought she would win. I don't care where she comes from. If she's eccentric and funny, that's what I'm looking for in a housemate.

I do think its all down to the edit and I'm glad that it has changed.
We are certainly seeing her softer side.

Me too, in fact I do have mates like Janice (even some male versions of her)
In IAC she proved to have a strong vote by coming 2nd. And it was 55%/45% so it was pretty close.
But at the moment, I can see Natasha, James and Bobby (now possibly) having a shot. The only Americans I think have a tiny chance would be Janice and Austin.
But you know Helen won, so I wouldn't be surprised if Farrah ended up winning.

Exactly. I don't know why people assume Americans won't have the vote, when history says that they really do with Speidi, The Shannon Twins (surving over much "loved" Natalie and Kirk), Gary obviously won, Michael, The Sitch, Jermaine Jackson, Dirk, Coolio, etc...
Even unknowns like Courtney managed to beat people like Ron Atkinson, Sophie Anderton and Bruce Jones from the UK in Vote To Save.
