Shut it Liz.
Twins never would have made it in the house without Austin and Vanessa |

I feel cheated, they left out all the posing and preening. He wore the medal for 3 hours.

If only Julia had gone last week, the damage could have been more severe to that alliance
Now it just feels hollow and too late |

Looks like Liz is going then, but she's been a star of the show and will be remembered way more than the nonentity that is Steve. Hope she's back for an All Stars season.

Remembered for what though? Being in one the most repulsive showmances ever and with her sister part of one of the dumbest duos.
This showmance is almost Boogie/Erika levels of disgusting though. |

Never too late! I thought the last episode was the funniest so far of this season and I'm not sure this week would have been nearly as entertaining without her.
But truth is this lot are SO terminally stupid and only figuring out now that Vanessa could be playing all sides and only now breaking up the strongest alliance when they could have done it weeks ago And as for Steve, thinking he is some sort of mastermind for breaking up THAT alliance when everyone has had weeks to do it before him....Sorry Steve you are NOT going down in BB history for that move |

Liz is more intelligent, charismatic and more of a gameplayer than Julia ever would be. And as she said she has won competitions and has not at all been dependant on Austin. Liz would have been great with or without showmance. Anyway showmances aren't that heavily pushed on the US version so I don't know why people are complaining. It was more a funny one anyway than the Clay/Shellie one which was dull. Her and Julia would be good on The Amazing Race, I like that suggestion. They are quite funny together, I loved those meetings they had in the DR before the reveal.

Showmances are heavily pushed on BBUS. Austin and Liz are an odd exception. I would say due to graphic content, but then I had a dark flashback to Amanda and McCrae.
![]() As you mentioned we did get many a Shelli and Clay segment in those early weeks. Before the James pranks that irked you, we had long segments of little chemistry with those two. Surely you remember Jeff and Jordan, a pair so favoured in two seasons that they had their own special segment in the back yard last year. The tv viewing audience seems to respond to coupling. |

The Australian one for sure and the British one at times have had more on showmances. Most showmances in more recent times like Amanda/McCrae, Danielle and Shane, Liz/Austin are sources of comedy and not something to be taken seriously at all. That's totally different to the deadly serious portrayal in other versions. The first time Jeff/Jordan took part I wasn't watching the show, things were different then perhaps. To me they are like ancient history in BB terms.

Liz has been a central player to this series for both the show and the feeds. Quote:
Don't get me wrong it was a rare good episode for this series, due to seeing THAT alliance disintegrate
But truth is this lot are SO terminally stupid and only figuring out now that Vanessa could be playing all sides and only now breaking up the strongest alliance when they could have done it weeks ago And as for Steve, thinking he is some sort of mastermind for breaking up THAT alliance when everyone has had weeks to do it before him....Sorry Steve you are NOT going down in BB history for that move Until, of course, final eight, where she pulled in John and started planting seeds about Austwins because she knew she needed to break them up; it would've been dumb of her to stay blindly loyal to them. Just like it was dumb of Austwins to believe Steve and Vanessa would really want a final five with them. Austwins need(ed) to fear everyone at this point in the game considering the huge target on their backs, not just Vanessa. Regardless of whether Vanessa was still in the game or not, the only way they were going to remain in the game together was to win out, so I don't think they've been particularly stupid to keep Vanessa around after both sides proved their loyalty (despite their moments) throughout the game. They've helped each other get to this point (the entire Scamper Squad making final six is incredible and proves just how much they helped each other out) and now it just comes down to comp wins and letting the chips fall where they may... and I'm sure if Vanessa's booted at final four because it comes down to Austin saving her or Liz, everyone will be saying how stupid she was for keeping Austwins together for so long and letting them get that far... It's just the way it goes. But, would they all have made it this far in the first place if they imploded sooner and went through with their doubts to backstab one another? Definitely not. |

Vanessa is ok and stirred up the drama like Audrey. But it irks me in the US show how they always want to go on about someone being the mastermind of the year and getting in the DR saying they did this or that, it's a cliche and it's got really really old. Of course the Canadian one copies it like they do most else. Also you have to judge Vanessa in BB terms anyway where most people either don't play the game or just play quite badly. Julia, Steve and others this year are normal in BB terms only, and that's because of the kind of casting that's done.

I cannot bare Steve and John! Omg they are just insufferable! Steve seems to think he is this absolutely fantastic player who is going to seen as some sort of BB legend when he gets out! What have you done Steve? Make the most obvious play of the season and try and pass it off as 'the move of the season'. And John is just the fakest person ever! Anyone else think? He has gone in their with the sole intention of winning Americas fav player and thinks he has it 100% sown up (which tbf he probably has). Also, I do not believe a qualified dentist behaves the way he does, with those stupid noises he makes, so fake. I remember even in the segment about his hometown in the first few weeks even the people who knew him said they didn't know this John, which I assumed meant he had his guard up and there would be more to see from him, but no he has stayed the same which is pretty awkward as his friends and family have therefore basically confirms he is one big act :/

I think they're all told to play up the game aspect in the DR, then the editors fit it into the storyline or leave it out as they want. My main problem with Steve is I find him boring and lacking any charisma.
