James to Stevi, 'if you were here on your own, then no problem...'

James has no tact.

With Chloe close by, James told Stevi, if Stevi had been in CBB minus Chloe, James wouldn't be putting the twosome up for eviction.

How did James expect Chloe to feel about that? What a complete fool James is.

He was basically saying 'you're all right, but we can lose the posh bird.' And Stevi ain't much better, he considered it a compliment.

I have often thought James' one brain cell must be very lonesome in that head of his.

I must admit I found that hilarious when I heard it. Especially when Stevi agreed with him.

I laughed when I saw Stevi nodding along.... Such loyalty!
What name??

Funny when Stevie agreed. Real love

It was a nasty, insensitive comment. James had just insulted Stevi's to-be-wife.

To-be or not-to-be? I'm thinking not-to-be.

I wonder if his young daughter believes in this whole charade.

Didn't Austin say something similar too when he nominated them? I think James and Stevie share a brain cell. Then we had the love in after the nominations, whilst James, the all knowing one, passes on his invaluable life experience and advice to the adoring audience that is Stevie. The insults to "The love of his life" just whizzed over his head .. hilarious to watch and a nice contrast to the venomous nominations.

I think James was simply being honest - I don't honestly think he realised how brutal it came over. He sometimes lacks subtlety and guile - he's rather straightforward - I find it quite refreshing.

Quite the opposite to Chloe who appears to be nothing but 'fluff' - I wasn't keen on her in X Factor - I warmed to her slightly in the first few days but I've gone right off her now. She really is quite unsuited to this sort of show IMO. I find her a major irritant and agree with James that Stevi may well have been received better on his own.

On his own Stevi is fine.

His sidekick is the problem.

That was James reverting back to his Apprentice persona.

I dont think he's thick at all. He's a bit rough around the edges, un conventional and doesn't speak RP - some may perceive that as being thick - I dont agree.
He's just a straight forward, straight talking guy. I like him.

OK then, but I don't think he's thick for the things you mention. He was hugely disrespectful to the woman on The Apprentice, a show watched by a few million folks. If that's not being thick then I truly don't know what is? I guess we should leave this one as you like him and I don't?

I sniggered, the funny thing is that Stevie nodded along to the comment

But it's true, I never liked Stevie on X Factor, but he'd actually come across well without Chloe IMO.

Chloe is very needy.
So is Stevie.
So they are good together.
I'm just not fond of watching it.
BB is clearly giving the viewers a break from the nauseating copulating.

They are kind of the opposite of Speidi, who refrained from PDA in the house out of respect for other housemates, and then got slagged off for it.

That's not the way I remember it.

You do know The Apprentice is 100x more edited than BB right? First of all, on The Apprentice they urge you to be cocky and try and create controversy. As James first appeared (before it was shown on our screens), the producers usually choose certain people to portray them in certain ways. Also by the time the show airs its first episode, the winner has already been decided as there is a big time loop from when it actually happened to when it is shown, so throughout the show and how its edited, you can tell who will be in the final.

Second of all, going back to my editing comment. You see how much editing we see on BB, yes? We see 45 mins of 24 hours, in The Apprentice we seen one week condensed in 55 mins. So you can completely manipulate viewers 10x more than you can on BB. It is very easy to show people in certain ways. And because James did have his rows, there was probably only 3 or 4 of them in the space of 10 weeks. Not a lot. But the way we see it is different.

Anyway, I know this because an acquaintance of mine worked there for that series and the series before.

So, don't make assumptions on him on The Apprentice where the BBC pushes contestants to row more than they do on BB.

James has come across as thick to me throughout. Stevi agrees with everyone, all the time. Even when it's about his supposed wife to be! Imagine talking to him about the weather:

It's raining.

Yeah it is raining.

It might stop.

You're right there.

If it doesn't I won't go out.

Yeah best stay inside.

If the sun comes out it won't be raining anymore more.

You're so right mate, so right.

Well I watched it recently and that's exactly what happened. Quotes from their fellow housemates:
"They don't even kiss properly"
"God forbid if they ever have children"
etc

Which was all seen by the couple in question via the secret room

I thought it was funny and also true! Stevi on his own seems an ok guy, Chloe is a major pain in the bum. Dont believe they are a proper couple for a minute and I think Stevi would have a better chance without the drama queen bringing him down.

There are different levels of intelligence. James on launch night said to Jenna that he is not conventionally intelligent, but he is very complex in the things he does. To be an entrepreneur ,you can't be completely thick in everything.

It's like saying that IQ is the only way to determine intelligence. It isn't. For example, I am awful at small things, common sense, I'm a bit DUH, but put me in front of numerous tests, give me a history book, then I'm pretty intelligent in that respect.

Even if he was "thick", I don't see how that would make something he says about Chloe and Stevie, false.

I won't go into the numerous instances but he is thick as in 'very slow on the uptake/doesn't follow certain things at all'.

I've no idea of his entrepreneurial record, but tenacity, charm etc can be crucial and I think he has both, as well as a thick skin. He's good-looking and well dressed. Sometimes all it takes is being in the right place at the right time, or having a dodgy contact (not suggesting the latter for one minute, just that intelligence of some sort isn't necessarily required)!

I didn't mean to imply anything he said about them wasn't true. I just said I think he's thick.
