I guess it's inevitable that one of the new lesbian characters will end up with Sophie as the screeching harridan is such a catch. My money is on whichever one has the best job so she can chuck it all in for a few shifts in the kebab shop.

I can also see her ending up at Underworld, having bonded with Carla once the truth comes out. While I'm not remotely fussed about Alya, I prefer her to Sophie but Brooke Vincent is such a golden girl with the producers that I expect they'll want her to be in a more prominent role.

My God, they seriously need to open some career doors for characters. If she is working in the factory it's absolutely ridiculous. Why not have her train to be a nurse, or clinical assistant and get her in the medical centre? Creche instead of the Commoooooonity Centre? Teaching assistant at Bessie St? Open a charity centre, and use her faith to do good in the community with our Emily and Vicar Bill?

Also this will be Sophie's third relationship since i started watching the show, she goes through girlfriends faster than Pete goes through a bottle of vodka. I wish they'd give Todd a boyfriend, he's been back for 2 years and all he did was cheat with Marcus a few times.

I can see Sophie in the garage. I can't imagine her in the factory. I think Sally would keep correcting her and telling her to "sit up straight"! Not only that but Sophie just isn't like the people at the factory and I don't think she would fit in. I wonder what Sally will call Sophie's job at the garage? Any ideas? It will have to be something good to better the "Window Enhancement Executive!"

Yes it does make much more sense her being in the garage than the factory. Though it would be good for her to interact with people of a similar age to her

How convenient anyway. First we had Sian, Sophie's best friend who happened to be a lesbian. Then we had Jenna her physiotherapist, just happened to be a lesbian. Then Maddie, a random homeless girl at the shelter, just happened to be a lesbian. And now someone at the factory or connected to Sophie's employer, will just happen to be a lesbian.

The whole Sophie saga is just totally pathetic. I heard Brook Vincent wanted to leave but was offered a six figure amount to stay. Sophie is just one of the few soap characters to be made gay to try to make them more interesting and it just hasn't worked at all.

That really is pathetic if it's true. She adds nothing to the show. SB said after Maddie died that we'd see Sophie go through some character development with her grief. She cried once and has gone on with her life ever since.
