Bizarre claim. They're hardly going to reveal exactly what happens, but I'm betting on a death. Either Callum or someone within the Platts.

Too bad they don't have a more interesting storyline going to build to the live episode, but hopefully it's a good one.

Why do people say goodbye to Andrea and Lloyd on Wednesday only for Steve and Lloyd to take a trip down memory lane on Friday! How many goodbyes does Lloyd need ?

Doubt it, we all know Blackburn likes to blab.

I'm surprised he managed to keep secret the fact Amy was in Carla's flat & Maddie was caught in a second explosion during the Victoria Court Fire.

This week will suck.

Corrie probably think they are going to pull in the ratings and do well with their garbage storylines, but it ain't gonna happen. I guarantee those who watch it will dislike it. The only hope is that Blackburn does what he did after Emmerdale's live episode and leave the street and let some fresh new talent take over and hopefully save it.

And I am expecting replies saying that I can't judge before airing, but look at their past lackluster plots this year like the overhyped minibus crash and apartment fire and you know how disappointing it all was.

Have you ever posted anything positive about Corrie? You seem to make a point of criticising it at every opportunity.

A lower-key live episode than the last one, but that's fine - this isn't Coronation Street's anniversary.

Spouting drivel as usual.

Some of us liked those storylines, you know. Don't presume to speak for anyone but yourself.

I actually think the show has some very strong storylines going on ATM. But, there's also the utter shite that is Callum vs The Platts. It's been going on for so long, and I'm just so bored of it now. The fact the LIVE episode is focused around that plot, means I'm not really looking forward to it at all. It's not a competition, but I don't think it will manage to beat EastEnders 30th (10.8 million viewers), or Emmerdale's helicopter crash, but it could still be good. We'll have to wait and see...

Btw, I actually loved the apartment fire storyline and could never see why so many people on here were being negative about it. The minibus crash was absolutely dreadful though.

It will beat the Helicopter Crash without doubt. Won't get anywhere near EE 30th though (and nor should it be expected to).

I was thinking if callum does get killed off in the live isnt that basically the same as the live ed he did with carl being the victim then. Granted different lead ups but essentially the same.

Why do people have the idea that this should be as big as an actual anniversary for the show? It's an ITV celebration of 60 years. This live episode is just something to mark it with and a nod to Corrie history. It's a bonus for the show. It doesn't have to compare to EE 30th in any way. I still think Corrie will deliver something good.

I think the reason things will never be the same again for the Platts is that

I love the Platt family but I can't wait for this Callum SL to end, I'm fairly certain he's going to die in the live ep

I do hope you are right. I was just giving a theory based on the front of a tv magazine. I won't be any more specific though.
