Samsung Galaxy Remote Control App
Has anyone managed to get the Samsung Galaxy S5 App (Smart Remote?) control a Panasonic Viera?
I have never got it work, I contacted the makers but they never came up with a solution. I was surprised because it is hardly a rare TV set. |

Well I've just looked at the app, it seems remarkably crude for setting it to match your TV - why not have the option to directly select what you want?, instead of a crude search (like any one for all type remote).
But the app appears to list Panasonic, how many choices does it give you to search through. Strangely there seems little info about what remote system Panasonic use?, and I've never had occasion to reverse engineer it - but it's certainly covered by all one for all type remotes. |

I use a Tab S and have had the app (peel smart remote) working my Panasonic AX902, it's very basic. The Sky functions are a little better.
Personally I prefer and use the manufacturers dedicated apps, Panasonic, Sky etc. |

I will uninstall it (if I have not already done so, can't remember). |

I had a look at the Panadonic ones but they work through WiFi. My Viera does not have WiFi and I connect through RJ45 and an Ethernet switch.
