Jack Dee is fine for me ... but what a bizarre set!
I paused the programme at 02:43 in iPlayer, and there are people in the audience who would only be able to see the back of Jack Dee and the fired candidate, and on the other side of the room, those who could only see the backs of the panellists! I've heard of 'restricted views' but that's ridiculous! Which not-so-bright spark thought it was a bad idea to let the audience see everyone on the stage? |

Romesh is already boring me as a regular panellist. I think it's a waste as there could be so much more of a variety over the series without him.
Jack is only OK so far. I think he'll get better as he relaxes into it. |

Jack Dee is appalling . Can't stand the guy . He makes anything he's on dreary and depressing . What's with all the dark lighting to make the show even worse
![]() Absolute idiots now running the BBC who haven't got a clue . |

I quilte like Jack Dee, but I really miss Dara's easy Irish charm on this show.
And the new set design was just horrible. What were they thinking, whoever designed that? It now has a horrible disconnected feel to it. Why did they have to muck with the set . Why has every show to be made worse . |

I quite like Romesh when he gets serious and tells the candidate exactly where they went wrong

Jack Dee looks very uncomfortable presenting, like his trousers are too tight or something. I never really liked Romesh as a comedian but he's doing a great job of converting me. He's funny and made good observations last night too.

It's not as good as it was in the early days with Adrian Chiles, but it is significantly better than it was with Dara, and that's a real relief. Last year, for the first time ever, I actually stopped watching You're Fired! because it irritated me so much. I think I'll stick with it this year.
I also seem to be in a minority who actually thinks the new set is all right. It is of course inconvenient for the studio audience, but it's all right from a viewer perspective. I'm still not that keen on the idea of having a regular comedian - having a regular weekly panellist could be a good thing, but I'd rather it was someone a bit more intellectual (in Series 1 they had business psychologist Felicity Lee, who always contributed some really interesting thoughts) but it could be a lot worse, and has been. |

I quite like Jack presenting it (although I also liked Dara and Adrian). I think he will get better as the series progresses and he has more material to work with.
Agree about the set though. It's awful! The old set / lighting had a homely, inclusive feel. Now it's cold, dark and bizarre with the guests in one place and the host/apprentice somewhere else. Don't mind Romesh as a regular guest but I hope they don't invite Grace Dent back. I've never understood her appeal. Whenever I've seen her guest on a programme she never seems to have anything witty, original, intelligent, interesting, controversial or enlightening to say. Most guests can manage at least one of those. |

The set is just far too exclusive, ill never know why are the panelists stood way out the left.. Romesh is an awesome regular though, he makes valid strong points, and his jokes are always timed really well |

I HATE the sketches - we could have so many more out-takes that are about the actual contestants and not the lame comedians the programme insists on having on.
I am also not a fan of the new terrible set, the pundits looked like contestants waiting for the big chair on Mastermind |

I didn't realise that Dara had left until I tuned into the first prog, I don't mind Jack Dee too much, he has obviously got to settle into the role but I certainly didn't like the other bloke (whoever he is).... And I have to say!... 'I don't think I am going to stay tuned into it unless it get significantly better than it was on the first night'!.....
BRING BACK ADRIAN, HE WAS GREAT ON THE SHOW..................... I MISS HIM.................... |

It looked as if Aisha's family and friends were sitting behind her last night-they were the only people holding up hired cards at the end. Maybe the bit behind is for family and friends of candidates? Aisha's Mum (I assume it was her Mum) didnt look happy at the audience result.

Watching the first one on repeat, but got distracted for about ten minutes after Alanis Morissette started playing...
Either way, I'm ambivalent about it. Jack's not doing too badly, and I don't "hate" Romesh, but I hate the new set design (more "friendly" I think) and more business people. I get it's more comedy, but whenever a business person comes on, comedians usually butt in on them to make a cheap joke. I'll see. |

I think Jack was better than Dara but not as good as Adrian. When I first heard Ramesh was to be a regular I was less than impressed & from what I've seen so far my view hasn't changed. He is one of the many "comedians" who seems to find himself so amusing, he forgets that he is paid to entertain his audience.
Bar the odd exception, the panellists that are actually business men/women are the only ones to add anything useful to the show. The set is horrendous - put them back behind a desk - did the BBC learn nothing from the public's reaction to Wimbledon |

The thing is if audiences don't like comedians they won't get booked. Romesh is going down well with the You're Fired audience. It's hard to argue with that even if you don't like him yourself.
