Is it me or are they going into overkill with the Hell's Kitchen trailer?

Just a bit.

Although it's not as sad as when you see the network trailer on ITV1, then switch over to Scottish TV and hear the exact same script read by a Scottish announcer.

Great minds think alike, and all that...

It's been a deliberate policy since 1998. Scottish and Grampian seem to think that if viewers in Scotland hear an English voice on promos, they'll all explode or something, so STV gets a copy of each network promo *without* the voice-over and gets its own announcers to re-read them.

Problem is, they've only got two voices (one male and one female) and they both sound terrible. They regularly ruin perfectly good promos.

It's a competition between 2 teams headed by
Gary Rhodes versus Jean-Christophe Novelli.

I think it will be quite keenly fought as Gary is very well liked by the great British public whilst gorgeous Frenchman J-C is regarded as quite the sex symbol.

Don't know who I'd put my money on winning.

When regions were still regions in England and Wales, the same was done, whereby each regions announcers would read the same script.

ITV always do this. However good a programme is you're always fed up of it before it's even started!!!

I don't tend to watch much of ITV to be honest. Only David Letterman, Third Rock, the odd repeat of Frank Skinner or Baddiel And Skinner Unplanned, and things on ITV1 like I'm A Celeb, Hell's Kitchen and sometimes The X Factor/Pop Idol shows.

No, there is no longer a channel called ITV, there are channels called ITV1, ITV2 and ITV3.

ITV covers ITV1, ITV2 and ITV3.

The adverts are naff but I'm really looking forward to tonight, don't know why because why original thought was that it was going to be crap without Gordon.
