Expand her family. But with the hubbards around, i can't see it yet. I want to know the tension between her, kim and daphne. This was heavily suggested when Daphne arrived for Denise's "funeral".
Give Diane Parish a meaty storyline away from Kim and Vincent. Di Parish is nothing more than a supporting character these days which is a real shame as she is 1 of EE best actresses.
Denise should have been involved in the current stage of the Lucy Beale plot. She was the last person to have contact with her just before Bobby hit her over the head and Jane carried her to the Common.
I hope they revisit the Libby/Chelsea secret sooner than later since it could give Denise something to do. I noticed that it wasn't mentioned in the reports about the upcoming autumn storylines.

I think a natural move would be to explore alcoholism. The depression story would have been good for Denise.
if only the Carters had been related to Denise and not Shirley that would have been so much better.
I'd have Jordan come back in a revenge plot! The Lucas story ended with such a damp squib by Kirkwood having the residents play rounders. It needs a proper ending!

I'd say a Jordan return would be good for Denise, think there's so much Potential in that character for future storylines and D said he felt like her son. Maybe Claudette looked after him for a while or he used to go to school with Paul?
Additionally Fatboy, genuinely thinj Fats and Denise have great chemistry and soaps have never done a serious couple with an age gap, although they do exist

That would have been great. Denise would be a great landlady.

There was Marilyn and Donald in Home and Away. She was half his age and they had a 5 year relationship including marraige and children.
