Rumour has it that former Shameless actress Rebecca Ryan might be joining Hollyoaks in November 2015 as Sapphire McQueen.

Apparently she is the daughter of Victor McQueen & Sarah.

Victor is Marguerite's son and Marguerite is Nana McQueen's sister.

Bart is Victor and Sarah's son, so he is Sapphire's brother.

I'd rather be getting rid of a couple of McQueen's than adding to them.

At this stage i'm happy it's a McQueen and not some relative of the Lomax or Roscoe families.

More McQueen's on their way...

Arran Wedderburn has apparently been cast as Bart McQueen's brother Kieran and Jack Parr has been cast as Bart's other brother Jayden.

They will join the show in November 2015 alongside their sister Sapphire.

Why doesn't Kirkwood make a McQueen spin off? It might fun. I like the family but there seems to be a lot of them.

What's your source for this? I can't imagine why they'd introduce more McQueen's right now.

On the bright side, more male McQueens are a change from the girls.

On the less bright side, the whole family except Bart just shows up suddenly? We had an influx of new McQueens only a year ago, another one in January, and Reenie and Pete only a couple of months ago. I get that the numbers are dropping (we lost Phoebe this year and Theresa is reportedly leaving in January) but for goodness' sake, how many more do we need?!

(I also recall iaresam saying that when the new "psycho" appears, it will be apparent to viewers why she is the way she is. If it's really Bart's sister, I guess her excuse would be that she's on the weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed ...)

Well, only Nana, Porsche, Celine, Reenie, Pete, Mercedes, John-Paul, Theresa, Kathleen-Angel, Myra-Pocahuntus and Matthew living in the house. Surely there's room for another half dozen or so?

I'm amazed that so many cousins think that they can just turn up and move in, who does that? Especially into a house where adults have to share bedrooms and sleep in bunk beds because there are already too many of them. Porsche for some reason booked her wedding train in HOs and then just moved in, Celine didn't even have a job until she was sorted out by her new nurse friends and then also moved into the house, neither giving any thought to their lives before.

We don't need more McQueens, that family has more than enough people.

If we are going to have a Sapphire then we should have a Max too! My reasoning is completely offbeat compared to Hollyoaks, so I shall explain my reasoning in a spoiler.
