EE: Tracey's Surname
Following on from her episode - what surname would you give Tracey "The Barmaid"
My ideal would be "Tracey Holland-Smith" as a nice little tribute - what do you all think? |

I think she has managed 30 years without one and it would be silly to ruin her air of mystery now.
yes have her speaking more but no need to have a surname to talk Plus madonna has got on all this time wothout a surname so why not tracey |

It was great to see Tracey play a bigger part last night .. she's been in the show since the beginning, so presumably she doesn't need acting lessons at this stage!

I like the fact that Tracey has no surname but imagine if she turns out to be related to another family all along.

Tracey is Sharon's father and at the time she gave up Sharon to Den she was transitioning and she felt it wasn't the best time to bring up a child.

I think just a simple name like Brown not tied to anyone unless they introduce a new family based around her.

I think she should be a...Tracey Louise Watts! She would be a secret relative of Den Watts....? It was refreshing to see her speaking as she can act. I hope she's been paid well over the years! |

I'm Tracey Beaker. Now bog off Phil! I own the square now. You're an old timer now. There's a nice cold place waiting for you in the cemetery. I bet you enjoy the company there. And I'm not crying. It's just hayfever. Now shift, you dung beetle!
In seriousness though, I wouldn't mind her surname being kept a secret. |

She changes name depending on who's running the Vic at the time.
So she's been: Tracy Watts/Butcher/Royle/Mitchell/Watts (again)/Moon/Carter |

The highlight of Wendy Richard's funeral in 2009 was when Anna Wing (then aged 94) arrived. She was "helped" (not that she needed help) up the steps of the church by Jane Slaughter, who plays Tracey.
But anyway, in that the actress's name in real life is Slaughter, I think that should be Tracey's surname too. She is actually Walford's greatest criminal mastermind. She has organised all the murders which have happened in Walford in the last 30 years, and has successfully framed innocent suspects to deflect suspicion. Not only the viewers, but even the scriptwriters themselves, have been fooled into believing that various innocent people such as Lucas, Dennis, Ronnie, Nick etc. were to blame. |
