I would love to see this go top ten - their last album reached number 11 and Paper Gods has had pretty good reviews so far. So I am hopeful (well I can dream).
What do you think ?

well, when i first checked the iTunes chart (for what it's worth) it was number 10 - but that was on Saturday, it's now number 18.
I'd be very happy if it squeezed into the top ten here.

Yes, I wonder how it will do. It has been getting a mixed reception from fans. IT has more of a modern feel like Red Carpet Massacre as compared to more of the nostalgia sound of All You Need is Now.

They got some pretty negative reviews of their appearance at Bestival.

I think probably Top 20, but not Top 10.

Where are these negative reviews ? I haven't seen any ?

I actually preferred the stuff Nick and Simon were making with Warren. Since the comeback with the Taylors I not found much of worth to be honest.

Paper Gods has charted at #5.

Three new entries in the Top three:
The Stereophonics are at #1, with Bring Me The Horizon at #2, with the Libertines at #3. Leona Lewis latest has charted at #12.

If it had been released a month ago, with these sales it could have debuted at #2.

Warren was a great guitarist and really helped revived the band from the late 80s to early 90s. But Simon and Nick treated him like shit towards the end.

To be fair the band's popularity was dying on its backside, and then his comments regarding 9/11 being an inside job by the USA Government using CGI, camera fakery, etc made his position untenable:

Stereophonics #1 Duran Duran #5. British music firing on all cylinders, then. Ha!

I'm happy with number 5. After their last album just missed out on a top ten placing, anything above is a bonus.

Good for them. #5 is fantastic. I have to be honest and say it's not my favorite record from them. Maybe I have to listen to it more and I will like it better.

'Last Night In The City', 'What Are The Chances' and 'You Kill Me With Silence' are all excellent. The rest is a bit meh.

Still, you don't get 3 top quality tracks on every album released these days so I'm not complaining.

I'm sure Last Night.... will be the next single. Radio 2 have really supported this album, Pressure Off was playlisted for 4 weeks and the album was the album of the week just before release.

Got my tickets, roll on December.
