EE's Danny-Boy Hatchard on bullying
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e85rWrUZnoc
Wow poor guy, he seems nice. I didn't realise he had to experience bullying as a child and that he was expelled from school. He mentions that he didn't have anyone to talk to about the incident and looking back on it he gets upset. As an actor he will obviously have some trolls writing nasty comments to him via social media which he probably ignores now. I feel that he is settling into EastEnders now. Lee is currently in a depression storyline but I was just surprised that Danny-Boy had a tough time as a child since I don't usually think about the background of actors

I've really kind of warmed to Lee as a character now. I used to Really dislike him & Nancy, but I don't really dislike any of the characters now. Nancy can still be very annoying, but I think all of the newbies have settled in really well this year, as there's been a bit more focus on them, meaning they aren't really newbies anymore anyway.
![]() Danny Boy Hatchard has always seemed like such a lovey guy though.

It's so sad to hear what Danny-Boy went through. It's nice to see him being an ambassador now and speaking about what happened - hopefully it will help some people.

Sad to hear that, he seems like a lovely guy in real life and I love Lee as a character.

Poor DBH, bullies are the worst.
![]() He seems like such a nice and a smart guy, it's sad to see him look so, well, sad. He seems pretty remorseful for his own wrongdoings too. |

It's a great thing that he's doing. Danny's a great guy and I've grown to like his character in EE. Very sad to hear what he went through during his school days. Hopefully this will provide people with the support they need if they ever happen to experience any type of bullying during their school years.
