King (double) cheeseburger from my favourite takeaway.

No vegetation, just burger and cheese.

Oh, and a portion of chips, no salt, no vinegar.

Hot SECs!

(That's sausage, egg and chips. But only when I'm in the mood. Sometimes it takes grease to hit the spot!)

Varies all the time

As of this week it's an Eton Mess dressed with perfect damson puree.

Educated guesswork balancing the bitter sweet damsons but it was just on. Magical.

Will have another go tomorrow and it will be a sickly sweet horror

Potatoes - mashed with loads of butter or roast so they're lovely and crispy outside but fluffy inside or jacket potatoes done in the oven, as I love how the skin goes in the oven, and again with lots of butter and black pepper.

Unfortunately I'm on a low carb diet so no longer have potatoes, as I can't just have a little bit but a great big portion due to lack of willpower. Have to save them as a real treat nowadays.

I think that's the good thing about nice, simple foodgasm inducing stuff. It's something we could probably have every day, but then the novelty might wear off.. So saving it for a treat increases the anticipation and the sensations! It's the simple pleasures in life, like a nice, well-baked spud oozing butter, or the taste, texture and flavor combinations of my favorite

Same Jacket pot, baked in the oven with lashings of melted butter, a little salt and maybe some grated mature cheddar. Yum! Which low carb diet are you following and how you finding it? low carb takes an awful lot of willpower, so good on you.

I try and follow the Atkins way of eating as it's the one I can stick to the best. Actually, once I cut the potatoes out all together I found I didn't miss them not long after and don't get cravings for them any more. I wasn't too fussed about not having rice or pasta so I never missed them at all.
I do like meat a lot and eggs and cheese so it suits me perfectly. I also found you can eat quite a lot of veg for your 20g of daily carbs.
I very rarely have processed food so I think my diet is pretty good.
My medication prevents me losing weight to an extent but I have managed to lose two stone, although it has taken a long time. The hospital was quite surprised that I lost anything at all and were really pleased. I feel better for it too.
I think it works for me because I can eat a lot of the food I like and am never hungry on it.

Hmm.. I really love Marmite, but don't think it'd go well with sushi either

(although it was suprisingly nice on jacket spuds.. at least for me..)

Thanks for reply Well done with the 2st loss, that's a lot of weight! I've been browsing the Atkins WS and thinking about giving it a go. I've put on about a stone over the summer and really want to get it off. Have been going to SW the past few weeks but it's not shifiting Anyway, your post has spurred me to try it.

Savory: Anything spicy (Indian, Mexican, Jamaican, Japanese) really as long as it's got a lot of flavors going on.

Sweet: Tiramisu (nice and creamy with plenty of coffee and brandy in it).
