Humax HDR-1800T
Hello peeps!. Is it common knowledge that it is possible to record 2 programmes, and watch a 3rd different programme at the same time?. I've only just discovered, sorry, found out you can do this as long as all 3 programmes are on the same mux..........?. Or am I a bit behind the times?.

While the two recordings are taking place the watched channel still has its live buffer. When one of the recordings has finished you can rewind the live buffer to record that as well. You end up with 3 recordings that were being broadcast at the same time.

exactly as the manual says. U need to be on that channel, from the start of programme, to record it. Something i personally dont find very useful ...... It's good if u start watching something live, then think "wish I'd recorded this ......."

useful if the phone rings. On other brands usually u have to rememmber to press record. On a hummy the buffer is always there ........

![]() If both recordings are from the same mux you can watch any third channel (recording two from the same mux only uses one tuner) If recordings are from different mux then you can watch a 3rd channel on same mux as either recording. You can force a full buffer of third programme by settting a watch reservation. |

benidormgary have you explored other features of the 1800T, like the ability to watch a recording on your laptop over the wi-fi network?

Not on all Hummies. The 9150T, 9300T and 9200T did not have a live buffer if watching a different channel to the two being recorded.

Well anyway, i have occasionally found this feature useful. Although, several times, it filled up the entire 2 hour buffer despite immediate rewind to start .......
