Since kirkwood came back to HO
There's no continuity in characterisation or plot and pointless topless shots Robbie is being made a hero Danny's death and no show for JP |

In Neighbours that they never had the courage to make The Donna and Elle Robinson lovers, despite their early relationship being layered with gay subtext.

Coronation Street:
The climax to the Phelan saga- I thought it was a cop out that after having sex with Anna he actually held up his end of the deal. I was expecting him to return and continue tormenting the Windass/Armstrong clan. Lily's paternity- It would have provided much more story if she had turned out to be Nick's, David would have continued hating Nick and it would have been interesting to see if David and Kylie would raise Lily as David's kid or let Nick take an active role as dad. Emmerdale: The helicopter crash- There were reports that this stunt would be the biggest ever on a British Soap and rival the plane crash of the 90's but while the stunt itself was decent it lacked any aftermath and only two people died in the crash. Corrie's fire at Victoria Court was handled better than this. Charity's prison secrect- I was expecting Emmerdale's HBIC to deliver some truly shocking news maybe Cain isn't Debbie's father or maybe she still was the rightful owner of Home Farm. But instead it turns out she was pregnant and that Ross was the father even though we never saw them have sex and she spent her final months of freedom pining for Cain. |

Ross being the Dad? Triple meh. And let's add the "OMG IS ROSS DEAD" story. I thought like most other people that he might have gone off to do other work and would be back for a big Autumn or Christmas return. When was he back? A week later. And then just started dripping round Debbie again. Pathetic. I honestly don't know what's wrong with the storylining at ED at the moment, it's pretty bad. Have they employed someone from Hollyoaks or something?

Stella Price in Corrie. I was expecting big things from Michelle Collins playing her but she turned out to be rotten.

Cindy and Rhys' affair in Hollyoaks.
Rhys and Jacqui were a fantastic pairing. One that sounded ridiculous on paper but worked so well on screen. Rhys had grown up and Jacqui had mellowed. Andy Moss had fantastic chemistry with everyone Rhys was paired with throughout the years, including Cindy first time round. There was zero chemistry during the affair. You could tell that he thought it was as a ridiculous a plot as everyone else did. Rhys was cannon fodder to give Jacqui and Tony a last hurrah before Claire Cooper departed. I fail to see what the pay off was - Rhys is dead (I would say never to return but...) and Jacqui left miserable. |

Yep, both of those as well. The helicopter episode and the ones after where Ruby and Val died were really well handled, but the aftermath has been almost zero. We're left with Dan being a paramedic and Eric being a misery. Meh.

How could you blaspheme about st Stella of beige. She went through to the back of the rovers with such an impact
![]() ![]() Too right! She was far more bearable than Liz, too: such a pity she was brought back (and St Stella was immediately sidelined , as a result). But at least we had the "Stella Week" thread, on here.

Danielle being killed off. At the time I was very young and very gutted.
Killing off Gennie & splitting up her & Nikhil ... not on!Ross apparently being "in love" with Debbie (!) after the brilliant, brilliant stuff with Donna. I bloody loved him, but Ross is being completely ruined for me now, I couldn't care less what he does anymore. |

It has become very Hollyoaksish over the last few months. I wonder if it has to do with Kate Oates trying to surprise the audience, she seems to love to do this but maybe trying to do this is making some of the stories seem forced.
When da fuq is Emma going to kill James? I could die of natural causes here!

God yes, that was mine. I could not believe how much I hated Brendan's prison exit, what a load of diabolical cobblers! Massive anti-climax. And a horrible defeated ending for a man who'd spent his childhood being raped while his sister had her head up her own selfish arse.
Right up to the last 10 mins, I thought maybe he would break out and go on the run. But no. Took the rap for Cheryl's crime, she fricked off with her rich boyfriend without giving a single shoite, prison door slammed, the end. Hated it then, hate the memory of it now. Should have died, that would have been epic. Or gone on the run. Anything, but that was rubbish. That and the ludicrous Bobby crap are the biggest disappointments for me. Just rubbish. Oh, and of course Pat Butcher being killed off. |

Imo, that was not a disappointment. But it's an example for me as a viewer where it didn't need to happen at all. No one needed to die.
My biggest disappointment is coming this week though when

It was a disappointment when they decided in Corrie to revert Kylie back to their idea of what an 'angry chav' is, after they'd spent time letting the character grow and mature, based on what was happening in her life.
