i personally think production is below par in places
some songs are too Adele/Emile Sande derivative
- the album flow as a cohesion is better than expected
- there are some great songs that need serious spotlight
- the mastered iTunes version sounds better than other formats? Go figure!

Another Love Song (such a great new sounding Leona)
Thunder
Power
Fire Inside (such a great album track!!!)

I am- it should be remixed with a top dj ....it doesn't work in it's album format opt stripped back ... too derivative and vocals are so exposed in a poor production...and the album needs that uptempo vibe ... a missed opportunity

I Am sounds a little too close to Unfinished Sympathy in places, especially the instrumental part after the Middle 8.
Power is great though, very uplifting.
Thunder has a great hook but the chorus doesn't match it.

It's a good album but not her best. There is too much of the self empowerment type of songs.

The production is sketchy and tinny in places and some of the songs could use a punch to them, harder beats and more finish.

Lyrically she's good, her Voice is still one of the best in the business.

Highlights for me are:

Another Love Song <----- next single please!
Power
You knew me when
I got you
Thunder

Thick skin <---- why on earth is this a bonus track? It deserves to be a single!

My favourite album from Leona. Particularly impressed with I Got You, Power, You Knew Me When and Thick Skin. I also like how the album tells a story when played from start to finish.

I bought this because I want it to do well for her, but it's so meh so far. Everything sounds unfinished. I Got You, Another Love Song and Thank You are cute. You Knew Me When is my favourite track.

Maybe the album will grow on me but aside from You Knew Me When it really makes me appreciate Stop the Clocks...

Very surprised at how good the album is. Thunder is lack lustre, and I didn't like Essence Of Me and I Am on first listen so I thought it would suck but I gave it a go and it's great, really cohesive too. Not as good as Glassheart or Spirit but better than Echo imo.

1. Thunder 3/10
2. FUMF 9.5/10
3. You Knew Me When 7/10
4. I Am 8/10
5. Ladders 1/10
6. The Essence Of Me 8/10
7. I Got You 6.5/10 (needs a remix)
8. Power 7/10
9. Another Love Song 9.5/10
10. Thank You 10/10 (one of her best ever songs)
- bonus tracks -
11. Thick Skin 6/10
12. Best & Worst 6/10

It is 9 in the mid weeks. Good to see it doing well in US.

Anyone else think she sounds like Christina Aguilera on this album? In particular the first three tracks.

I like Thunder, Fire Under My Feet and Another Love Song but that's about it. I was a huge Leona fan but this album is terrible. You Knew Me When sounds like some forgettable Eurovision Song Contest entry and the album in general sounds so dated and has nothing to say apart from how awesome Leona is now she's on her own, over and over again in just about every song. Production seems cheap and uninspiring.

I can't believe Island and Leona thought this album was worthy of releasing.

I can't believe it turns out Leona was actually better under Syco after all.

Blimey, how the mighty can fall.

I do agree that the production is a bit light weight. Has anyone else noticed what sounds like a mixing error on 'Power'? (between the part "sometimes it feels like life is passing me by" and the final part) I'm not sure why it wasn't noticed in the mixing stage, or maybe it is intentional.

I think the songs all had potential, but seem to be a let down in the chorus, I love "Thunder" and "Power" in regards to their verses. And I really like 'I Got You'.

Its weird that she has a song called 'I Got You' on this album when she already has another song called that, that was actually the second single from her 2009 album Echo, and a top 20 hit. Has she or her management forgotten?

I've never before seen a case of an artist recording two songs with the same name. Sloppy.

There's three different types of tracks on this album for me. Classic Leona, new Leona and budget Leona. Unfortunately, budget Leona takes centre stage

That jumped out at me too. In fact, until I played the song I thought for some reason it was the same track from Echo.

The price has dropped on iTunes.

5.99 standard, 6.99 deluxe.

I would be very annoyed if I had paid full price for this.

It's a slap in the face to her real fans who would have bought it straight away on release day.
I thought they would at least wait a few weeks before discounting it!?
Do discounted opening week albums even count towards chart placing? Sounds like an underhanded tactic IMO.

I almost bought it Monday but decided to wait, the first Leona album I haven't bought the day of release.

It's the same with the tour. Prices around £100 for front row seats seem ridiculous for an artist who has had very limited success aside from a huge debut. The £60 seats are pushing it - it's a shame but Leona is in the £25-£50 bracket.

That's crazy. Much as I loved Leona she is not A list and can't justify that kind of pricing.

I'm so glad I saw her during the Labyrinth tour, when she was still releasing worthwhile music. I think my ticket only cost £30 or something, for the front row.
