A low risk solution is to connect a cheap second router to the hh5 using an ethernet cable.
Then you configure the second router and connect to that instead. This does not affect the hh5 at all, and worst case if you get the configuration wrong, you just press the restart button and start again. TP link routers are easy to configure for example. |

No you can't set the dns on a BT supplied home hub5, youview will work with unblock-us but you will only get different netflix regions the players aka itv,bbc stay the same. As Oilman says get a cheap second router and set the smart dns up onto that, this is how mine is set up, i use a tp link wdr3600 very easy and quick to set up dns.

Can you post instructions on how you set up the settings in the HH5 to use the second router connected to youview box please?
Once done you connect your youview box to your second router make sure your ip is up to date on unblock-us and that's it really the region for Netflix on youview will change to whatever region you have selected on unblock-us. I don't use unblock i use a different provider but it should work with unblock-us no problem at all. |

Just use a standard ethernet cable connect the cable to your bt hh5 and to your second router, then your second router you set up you unblock-us on unblock-us have full instructions how to do this on their site as each router is different, i use a tplink wdr 3600.
