We are each responsible for our 'own' actions in life.

I have no pity for Farah at all. As her mother was responsible for her actions, Farah too is also now responsible for hers. Farah holds the power to be the person she chooses to be. Just as those before and after her have done with pasts likened to hers....or worse. Some go on to follow learned behaviour and other choose to break the cycle and use their past to empower themselves.

I personally feel It's totally unreasonable to relinquish the responsibility of Farahs actions based on her past, allowing for her to speak to her housemates in the manner Farah does and to brush it under the carpet because she may have had a mother as self centered as herself.

The saddest part of seeing Farahs personality unravel is that her own daughter right now is also learning that behaviour. (Seen Farah on the latest Teen mom show arguing with her boyfriend with her daughter in the back seat asking her not to argue) ....I just hope Sophia (Farahs daughter) chooses to be a better person than her grandmother and her mother are. Breaking that cycle of abuse and freeing those that cross her path of the viscous tongue we've seen her mother reveal.

i have heard mention to people in the house [scoop, genna, austin and james] she is going for therapy to break the cycle for her daughter.

I'm heartily sick to the back teeth of bad & downright nasty behaviour being excused as someone "having had a hard life".

Jesus Christ, not that old chestnut again.

I have seen many women and men in my life that have endured totally horrendous backgrounds and have gone on to make a marvelous contribution to society and are thoroughly decent and nice people.

Farrah is a grade A narcissist with an appalling attitude and filthy mouth. Only redeeming thing is, she is young enough to change, which I hope she does for the sake of her little girl.

I agree I find it very hard to not say what I really think about some of the things posted re Farrah that is why the ignore Button is my friend.

Well that is what happens on different shows I have people on here that I have agreed with in other shows but we are at exact opposite sides this year however we still show respect to each other even although I am right and they are wrong, obviously.

I watched both 16 and pregnant and teen mom and even then Farrah was uncomfortable to watch. While filming 16 and pregnant, Farrah said she was cutting Derek (Babies Father) out of her babies life, Farrah has admitted herself that she denied she was pregnant to Derek when he first asked.

Derek's Mum did not deny that Derek was the father, she said that Farrah denied he was the father. When Derek's Mum tried to get visitation to her Granddaughter Sophia, Farrah took her to court to prevent this from happening. The only time Derek's Family have ever seen Sophia is when Farrah has asked them to film their visits for MTV's Teen Mom and a chance meeting at the park.

What irritates me about this whole thing, is that Farrah didn't want anything to do with Derek when she was on 16 and pregnant, yet while filming Teen Mom after his tragic death, Farrah would constantly talk about him as if they were together. She would cry and say I wish he was here so we could be a family and talk about all the things he is missing out on, seemingly forgetting she was cutting him out of Sophia's life.

Found this about the letter Derek's Mum wrote to Sophia

pretty sure derek's mom overestimated how much tabloids would care about her letter "to sophia."

i doubt she got any money for it or her story.

if you'll look further, you'll see that derek's mother opposed sophia getting derek's social security benefits, which would've been a very small amount and comes from the government not from derek's family -- i.e., she was just being spiteful.

anyway, derek's mom sued farrah for visitation rights to sophia and the court ruled in favor of farrah.

Wow...

Big sympathy for Farah here. From the way she was treated by her "friends" in school, to that mother...having to handle everything (seemingly mostly by herself) at 16 must be incredibly tough and props to her for coming through it - though she is has certainly been 'scarred' by her experiences with others.

Thanks for the link.
