not sure I would be happy either

And when Ronnie was out of hospital and Roxy and Charlie were swearing it was it only the once and wouldn't happen again (it's her own fault for putting them through the grief by almost dying), they were playing happy families with each other and Roxy was still acting like a wife to Charlie and a mother to Matthew and taking over everything Ronnie should have been doing. Even ignoring her if she asks for her son making fun of her insecurities while accusing her of being paranoid for not trusting them or immediately forgiving them after they betrayed her in the worst way.

If I had a child while in a coma I 'd have trouble bonding with that child too .

She was desperate to have a child. Wanting a baby and wanting to be a mother is not necessarily the same thing.

Good point. They really were very callous.

Absolutely I hope they do show that Ronnie has not bonded with Matthew because of the coma. Ronnie is no saint and has always been a social misfit (which is why she has no friends) so her actions are of no surprise. She has no idea how to have a relationship. That's why I still like her character. At least she is a character unlike Roxy who is nothing without Ronnie

She always has been but increasingly so since 2010.

They should kill her off now - she is beyond redemption.

After losing all her children she may be afraid to get close to Matthew, in case he dies too.

Could be, and that would be an interesting angle to explore, but they need to show it if it's the case. There needs to be focus on it and not just leaving us to theorise based on her history.

I'm not surprised to be honest.

- She was molested by her own father and continuously mentally abused by him until he was killed

- Her sister had a baby with the man she loved

- She's lost 2 children

- She finally had a bit of happiness, until she ended up in a coma and awoke to discover her husband was shagging her sister

Am I missing anything else?

Then they should've gone along with a storyline where Ronnie struggles to bond with Matthew. Instead of that stupid affair with Roxy and Charlie. Forget her lusting Vincent and Roxy's current fling with Dean. I'd have kept Aleks around too.

The opportunities for that kind of plot would've been so much better than this convoluted mess and would've kept Ronnie a sympathetic character. Could have kept Charlie around too.

Plus with the Shabnam storyline there might have been a small chance to do an episode where Ronnie has a heart to heart with her about her own experiences of losing children in the past. We can assume most of the Square knows that Shabnam's son was stillborn.

The third child, she had a miscarriage as well after Archie pushed her roughly.

Her own mother knew about her abuse by Archie, kept quiet about it and walked out on her. Glenda never cared one bit, Ronnie was abused. Strange mother

I don't know why they don't axe her. She's so unsympathetic. Theres nothing there to grasp..

She's a very sympathetic character imo. She's been through hell. She doesn't really wallow in it. I think she's fantastic.

Roxy acts more hard done by than ronnie. Now she's an unsympathetic character

If Charlie wasn't off cheating with Roxy I'd feel more on his side in this scenario but as it is I'm team Ronnie all the way regardless of her emotional state.

I agree. Yes, she, she has been through a lot but she is so cold at the heart of her. A complete control freak and no scruples whatsoever.

The only time I liked her was when she was with Jack, he seemed to bring out the human being in her. She kills with no remorse and does nor care who she uses or who she hurts. If Matthew grows up in her care then god help him. Another psychopath in the making.

So is it ok that she is cheating with a married man who also has a young child?

Sorry, you see something which just isn't there. She's as cold as a fish...

If I'd been through all of that, I'd be a cold fish too.
