Day 20: James and Austin have a heart to heart

Late last night James decided to share his true feelings for Austin. It was a beautiful, if rather sweary moment.

Not to be ignorant just because he is comfortable in his sexuality but I do definitely get bi vibes from James.

IMO it's nice to see that they want to be friends on the outside. Sometimes I see friendships in the house and think they are friends due to maybe a dislike of another HM, or because they are two blokes that exercise, or two girls who have the same interests etc...

With these two I actually see them being friends outside, not like most. Eg. I don't think Chloe and Janice will see each other again after.

I think they've been very lucky to find a friendship in the house that seems real and genuine. They seem to share the same kind of sense of humour and enjoy each other's company.

It will be nice for Austin to have another friend in the UK - having lived abroad I know how hard it can be to make good friends in your new home.

Oh and I see nothing bi about James at all, just a man who knows who he is. I think his remarks about the gay element were residual annoyance over things said early in the series.

There is nothing wrong about the friendship between James and Austin. There good mates and think they will be friends outside the house when its over. It is nice to see and there is nothing bi about James they are just good mates!

It is rather cute, and probably the most genuine of all the friendships/relationships in there. I didn't like either of them when they first went in the house, but I think they bring out good points in each other, and I like both of them now. Plus it's nice to see two housemates who have some fun and not take too much too seriously.

Pass me the sick bucket. James is slightly more tolerable than Austin though.

I'd like Austin and James to make the final

Along with Bobby, Natasha and Janice...

I think Austin genuinely has feelings for James. I think they're manageable but they're definitely there. He was all wistful when a few comments were made (although it could just be tiredness).

I think that's all only natural; nothing for anyone to be outraged at!

Not even his husband?

I knew someone would bring that up. Yes, he's married. Yes it's all horrible. Yes he's only a kid! (and all those things people say).

He's in the house - it's detached from reality. No one can judge Austin but himself.

I'm not even going to try. All I see is a guy that knows his boundaries, but still likes another man. Nothing wrong with that.

Although everyone on here will disagree.

Edit: We don't know what Austin's relationship is like but it sure as hell seems as though he and James have a bucket load in common.

We know that he's been married for 5 years in a relationship for 7 and his husband is watching and trying to show support for Austin every night who is lusting after another guy, I just don't see it as sweet

I never said it was sweet. I just said: you can see the emotion in Austin's eyes.

OK well I didn't actually say that; but that's what I meant!

And again, I totally understand where he's coming from.

SOME gay husbands.... just like SOME straight husbands are... don't tar me with the openminded/open relationship brush.

I didn't really like either of them but they're growing on me, mainly because of their friendship, although I prefer Austin, perhaps because I think his feelings for James are a little more than feelings you'd have towards one of your mates, and in this case the mate is just that, a mate, which makes it difficult and he can't hide it. Austin's an outrageous flirt but I think it's a bit more than that now. There's something about the way he looks at James. I can't explain it properly, but it's there.

I see it as well, that "look" from Austin. There's a sparkle in his eyes when he speaks to James. Austin wouldn't ever act on it, plus James is straight, but I think there is definitely an attraction there from Austin.
