Does anyone know if it's a short term or for the foreseeable future?

I think it is just a temporary exit based on the fact that they have not announced Michael Parr's departure.

However, I am so bored of him right now I could do with the break. His mooning over Debbie is incredibly tedious to watch. He used to be so good.

Well Michael Parr did say he got another job back in August on twitter on a low budget horror film, unless that was a lie to cover up his character's fate.

He is credited in an upcoming film 'Dark Ascension' on IMDB but I don't think he plays a massive part, I'm sure it'll take a couple of shoots and his work will be all wrapped up, he's pretty far down the cast list and his character name is 'G'

Maybe he departs with Dobbie when Charley Webb disappears on maternity leave?

Temporary I would imagine. If he even goes. Someone asked Mike the other day there it he was in studios could he go out and meet them but he said he was filming in village

I was upset when he left the first time (fake death) but he could bugger off now, I don't care anymore. His constant pining over Debbie has ruined him as a character. It does my head in! That's all he does now, he has been reduced to being Debbie's lover boy.

Please let this be true. Whether it was the fault of the writers, or the actor, his storylines have been utterly boring and repetitive.

I suspect the not at all dross Ross will only be leaving for a short while.

Hopefully he'll forget about Dour Debbie when he returns..she has well and truly dragged the usually fabulous character down.

Yes! There was a time I would have been absolutely gutted to hear Ross was leaving. Now, if he is, I'd just shrug my shoulders.

A fantastic first 18 months or so, followed by sad decline into pathetic and not very convincing lapdog to La Dingle Dangle.

For some reason anyone paired with Debbie ends up being a bore.

Wish Pete would leave instead. Such a boring character. And why he and Ross are pining after dour Debbie, I do not know!

maybe he will run off with Debbie and then they return together once Charlies back.

would make sense that she ends up with one of them or the whole storyline will have been for nothing

Agree with you both. He's always been the worst Barton to watch, even more boring than John was but John wasn't evil and wicked with no thought for anyone else. And John washed.

If it's in the Metro, unlike other soap writers, Duncan Lindsay doesn't make things up.
