She did, indeed. By yelling like a fishwife.

This is basically the same "tough love" that Debbie laid out to Andy when he was cripplingly depressed over Katie's death.

Somebody at ED clearly thinks screaming at people is a really effective way to handle depression. I personally think it means they deserve the door slammed in their faces.
Its because the alternative is the *head tilt, sympathy ahhh" followed by a "how are you feeling today?" optionally followed by "you poor dear"

Wouldn't really make for compelling TV would it?

I think the alternative is usually professional help.

And I dunno, slamming the door in Debbie's face would make great TV in my book.

Noone gets help for anything in soapland.

No No No! Debbie is a lovely little lamb that wouldn't hurt a fly! She had nothing to do with shagging Ross! it was an out of body experience!
Nothing is ever her fault. ever. E.V.E.R.

That's because the Dissers are taking full advantage of the fact Star isn't here and I point blank refuse to stop them or side with Debbie whilst she's de-spunking that ** Barton bastard, Gerbil Rod ** .
You mean " Mega Hot Ram Rod Ross ", of course....and I must say, Collie; most eloquently put lol

She didn't really come across as concerned though, just bossy, rude and aggressive. What kind of person calls a very upset new mother of a sick baby the worst mother ever? Besides anything else she hasn't even been able to do any mothering yet.

Fair enough, but she had her own reasons for wanting some time and space. Maybe they should have just respected that. I mean it makes no practical difference if she was there or not, she couldn't help the baby. She was always going to go back, it's obvious she's frantic with worry about him.
His condition had worsened and Ashley was going to perform an emergency Christening. Vanessa wanting time and space at that particular time was selfish.

She wasn't gone for a while, she'd been gone all night and was showing no signs of going to go back at all, most mothers would and do refuse to leave the baby's bedside at all in such circumstances, just how guilty and guilt ridden do you think she would have been if the baby had died while she was refusing to see him, all Victoria did was tell her the truth to get to come back to the hospital and was much kinder than many people would have been.
Yes, and out of the weeks he'll probably be in there one night is nothing. She hadn't shown signs of going back yet, that doesn't mean anything. Given how she'd been since the birth it was pretty clear she wasn't going to be away for terribly long. She didn't refuse to see the baby, she'd just come from seeing the baby. She didn't want to talk to any of the adults and had every right not to.
That was not all Victoria did at all. I sincerely hope I never meet any of those people who'd apparently have been a lot less kind, they must be monsters.

I'd rather not, in my experience some of the posters are very unpleasant. Mind you, I guess that proves your point.

His condition had worsened and Ashley was going to perform an emergency Christening. Vanessa wanting time and space at that particular time was selfish.
Which she didn't know. Unless I've got confused about the time scale or something?

They usually are by now, but they're not on the ITV press site yet.

BiB Not true! I distinctly remember :

Andy went to one Anger Management session and was miraculously cured.
Aaron went to one Self Harm session and was miraculously cured....for a while
Laurel went to one AA meeting and was miraculously cured.

They obviously have a better class of professional help in ED.

So it seems Emma is being taken down the unredeemable, psychotic route now. I highly rate Gillian Kearney as an actress, but I just hate the direction they've taken Emma in now. It's like she is a plot device and they are trying to see just how many horrific things she can do, and we'll inevitably have her being physically attacked by Chas or Debbie when the truth comes out. I've really gone off Debbie recently; not trying to defend Emma's actions but Debbie was a vile cow to her last night. Who would speak to their mother-in-law like that, even if her and Pete were estranged? As I've said before, I hate how Emma's PND is always used as some kind of insult to her, and I really wish somebody would point out she was ill at the time.

MK184, I agree with your post.

I still have no sympathy whatsoever for Debbie, though; Emma would not have tampered with the test results if it wasn't for that ever nasty piece of work.
