Is she still pregnant with Jason's baby?

And if so does Gary not know shes pregnant? Because her and Gary haven't slept together so he would know it wasn't his!

I didn't see the episode but apparently she told Sinead that she took a test and it was negative. Though many believe she was lying

IIRC she said at the time she was not pregnant but the way it was done was a bit ambiguous. Its never been mentioned since though

I can't remember Alya saying the test was negative but I assume she did. Unless she has forgotten about it

Apparently nobody was paying much attention at the time (neither was I) because no one is sure for definite. From the other threads, other posters seem to think she told Sinead it was negative, but I guess we'll see if we're wrong.

There never was a Jason's baby.

She slept with him at a time of stress and then was appalled at what she'd done. It's against Muslim teaching to have sex outside marriage and she was saving herself for after she was married. It was difficult enough for her family to accept Gary because she'd be marrying outside her faith, but they did and she wouldn't want to upset them further by getting pregnant. Being Muslim and pregnant is one of the worst sins. She could be disowned by her family and shunned by everyone else in their circle.

It was all that that made her nauseous, not being pregnant.

If she was pregnant, she wouldn't be behaving as she is now - confident doing business for Carla and then getting another job.

She could be in denial.

What happened to Alya and Carla?

Alya was gonna leave the factory for a new job, but then something happened...

And she wanted to return to the factory.

What?

I didn't see any scene where she wanted her job back.....did that actually happen?

I was hoping she'd go scurrying back with an apology, begging to stay at the factory once Tracy was revealed as being responsible for the fire, and not Mrs Connor.

Gutted if I missed that! Can't STAND Alya

Shows how much attention I was paying as I thought the test was positive and she had been throwing up!

The fact that there has been so many threads on this subject and their have been so many conflicting answers just goes to show how poorly Corrie have handled this storyline.

There was no proper resolution to this. As I remember Alya's conversation with Sinead was the test was negative but I, along with a few others on here, thought she may have been lying as we, the viewers, never saw the test result on screen. We are just going on verbal conversations.

Yes. But why was she so apologetic. Aidan didn't want her back.

Who was apologetic? Alya?? If so it's probably because she has spent months nastily insulting Carla and doing her best to scupper business at Underworld in a bizarre revenge plan to avenge her fathers death. After some of the things that little cow has said and done, she must feel mightily contrite to discover she'd been wrong all along, and the real villain wasn't Carla but Tracyluv

Except that she doesn't know that she was wrong; all she knows is what Carla has told her Tracy said. Carla could be lying.

I don't think Alya even said sorry, did she? After months of having to listen to her spiteful comments and watch her pathetic attempt at 'revenge', I wanted to see her really grovelling for her job back. But she just sat there looking awkward and unsure for a few minutes and then she acted like Carla should be grateful to her for 'smoothing things over' with Macnees. Disappointing.

The poster was asking why Alya would go to Carla and Aidan to apologise and ask to keep her job, I was simply providing an answer. If she did so, it's highly likely that she did believe Carla, otherwise her feelings on the matter would remain as before the revelation surely? She'd still assume Carla guilty and would move on to her job at McKnees?!

If she believed Carla innocent, felt bad and wanted to make amends, she would go and apologise and ask if she could keep her job.

Or maybe people should actually bother paying attention. I guess some overlook it on purpose just to bleat on about how Corrie aren't answering their question when the answer was right in front of their faces.

Same goes for Facebook comments on their official page, with the same questions. People obviously have the inability of looking at former posts with the answer.

So. What's the right answer?! I personally never saw the episode in question and couldn't really give a toss about Alya and her woes. If anything though, I hope she is pregnant and is too far gone for a termination purely to add to characters misery. She is woeful IMO.

I didn't say she didn't believe Carla. I was simply commenting on your phrase "discover she was wrong".

One of the problems is that many people can't see what's wrong with sleeping with who you want, and that it's such a big deal for a Muslim girl to sleep with someone before marriage that she would be physically sick at the thought of what she'd done and worried that she might be pregnant.

No she's not pregnant

Ok thanks! I completely understand her predicament and that to her, the mistake would seem like the end of her world, but I guess it just seems like such a non story if there isn't going to be any fall out to make her pay for her actions? A baby or even just a reveal of her infidelity would at least provide some dramatic scenes. If neither of those events are going to transpire, the liaison seems to have been a bit of a waste of time IMO.
