I am not sure but you need to remember that most of the details about what happened in the car crash were largely fabricated by Gavin's sister.

Even with Kathys explanation to Sharon about why I still found it hard to swallow, just like Sharon. It goes against the character we saw on the show originally imo.

I don't remember it ever being said that Ben was in the car crash that should say!

If he had been then surely there would've been signs of injury when Ian brought him back to Walford.

I think it has been going well so far, although they are being a bit vague on some details regarding why they had to 'kill themselves'.

It will be interesting to see how Kathy avoids prison time as Gavin never actually forced her to do anything.

Definitely a preliminary YES from me

Generally yes. The only bit that doesn't quite convince is Kathy leaving Ben - the reason sounds a bit lame.

From there it was just about getting all the ducks in a row with the backstory and it seems to be falling into place bit by bit. A successful idea expertly executed in my opinion.”

A brilliant post by one of my favourite posters.
Good to see you back on here a bit more Broken Arrow! Your quality posts are missed! 👍

For me it's the nice little touches they've added which make it more credible.

The fact Gavin mentioned Ian and Ben would have been in danger if they'd stayed alive, and that it's down to debts and money owed to nasty people.

The fact Kathy said she intended to collect Ben and didn't know about the fake death until it was too late.

The fact they've also thrown in this psychological abuse element of Gavin, meaning Kathy's been slightly brainwashed.

Of course the whole thing is far fetched in the extreme, but all credit to the writers for throwing in the above facts into dialogue which is also having to explain the scam itself. I think they're doing a great job.

Am I right in thinking there was a second crash. Offscreen after Kathy was seen at the train station? I got slightly confused watching that

Now Kathy is back on screen do you think DTC has managed to "pull off" Kathy's return to EE in a plausable way?”

I thought a show could only have one jumping the shark moment, Enders likes to break the mould and have several.

They have made it too complicated. All she needed to do was turn up.
