She's not an alcoholic in the sense she's addicted to alcohol imo...she's a bundle of neuroses that will come out in any way until she gets some help. We've seen it in all sorts of ways.

I like her and feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for Bobbi too because he's a nice guy but she wouldn't be with him unless she was so messed up imo.

I do believe she felt she had to stay away from that remembrance for Austin's brother, but not just because of the booze.

Why do you think she had to stay away from it, if it wasn't about the alcohol? Sorry if I've missed something.

A particularly ignorant comment re alcohol dependency. It shows you know absolutely nothing about it. It's nothing to do with the first drink, it's when the 'last' drink is never enough. And years can separate the two occasions.

Anyway, back to Chloe, I'm not sure I'm buying her alcoholism. Her whole schtick is just coming across as too strategic. Why hasn't her sidekick commented upon it up to now if it's a real and serious issue? And why isn't he more careful of it if he's so devoted to her? Not computing.

Because I think she has deep issues that it sounds like previously have lead to problems with alcohol, but I don't believe that's the core issue.

She's been fine around alcohol otherwise and snogging her drinking partner non-stop, so it was a strange time for this to suddenly pop up.

I believe though that she's genuine that she felt she couldn't join the toast (other drinks that are non-alcoholic are available!) and completely accept that. It's just she's blamed it on the alcohol primarily, which doesn't ring true to me - when she says she has other really deep issues it does.

Well it's hardly Stevi's fault She hadn't gotten round to telling him in the five minutes they've been together

Oops sorry. I forgot.

You've just reminded me of that ep of Spaced where Daisy and Tim are creating their past in order to get a 'couple' flat!

Another chapter of the spin the two of them have been coached on prior to entering and an absolute insult to anyone who has been affected directly or indirectly by full blown alcoholism. No better than those people who con others claiming to have terminal illness for financial gain.

Chloe's ex has previously commented on her relationship with alcohol;

He insists that she isn't an alcoholic but "has an addictive personality".

Still, why waste time on all that when we could be focussing on the tedious 'kill the witches' narrative.”

Absolutely agree with you

Because out of
14 housemates (ok, we can forget that one that got kicked out the first week) x (allowing for 6 hours sleep a day) 18 hours = 252 hours of "house life"

the nightly 60 minute "highlights" show, which is probably about 45 minutes without adverts, offers us about 43 minutes of Farah shrieking, screaming and swearing. How anyone thinks that it "entertaining" is beyond me.

And then the other housemates get branded as "boring" and "not doing anything". Well that's clearly rubbish. Of course the other housemates are DOING stuff. It's just that the producers have chosen to focus the highlights show away from them.. No wonder they get voted out quickly.

Quite frankly, I have at times been shocked to see Sherrie Hewson on screen - thinking "bloody hell, is she in the House this year!

I'm not sure if she is an alcoholic as such - perhaps she feels she has a bit of a problem with alcohol - perhaps if she'd drunk in the house her mask/cover would have slipped.

I think she probably chose to avoid alcohol in the house and (as she explained) she really felt that her resolve would crumble that particular night which is why she chose to stay in bed.

She does seem to be rather 'fake and pretentious' - she is seriously lacking in confidence - I think avoiding alcohol whilst in the house is a wise decision. It has been the undoing of many a Celebrity House Mate.

She'd have a fecking hard job being an alcoholic in that house the way they ration the booze...........kosher red wine anyone?......... 2 bottles a night between 12 people..... and max a couple of 333ml cans of pre mixed spirit and coke which would have an alcohol equivalent of half a pint of lager.
Take it from a proper practising alcoholic of 30 years...... the more I practise the better I get at it.
Alcoholics anonymous ...Made up an excuse it's not a disease it's a pseudo quasi religious made up institution to use peoples guilt and to excuse their culpability of choice by calling it a disease of addiction. If it helps people that's fine but it was no more than a view and opinion of the two blokes that formed the AA.
It's a disease makes me want to vomit when people casually throw that line around, and why am I not surprised when it gets used by Chloe another exaggerattion and embellishment of the real scenario.

Sorry but I'm not buying it. in my opinion, she said that to Austin to get herself out of the row with him. She appears totally fake to me, from her accent (check out you tube for how she used to speak), to her fake romance with Stevi. She is desperate for fame in any context

I'm surprised that this hasn't been mentioned before. If she is as fragile as is being speculated, how come she was allowed into the BB house? is it all part of her act? Pretty low mind, if it is.

Depression, anxiety etc are often linked with alcohol dependence, so I'm not sure what you are talking about tbh.

As to being born with a mood disorder? There is theory around that which mostly centres on being born with a higher likelihood of developing depression etc, but it is not fully understood.

Alcoholism or alcohol dependence is a highly complex issue and not about 'choosing' to be an alcoholic, unless you subscribe to the Jeremy Kyle school of counselling..

So she can suck the face off of Stevi when he has been drinking, but cannot bear to be in a room with open bottles of alcohol, apart from all the other times when she has been able to bear it..... sounds like a nice dollop of bull's droppings to me

But so is your post about AA and alcoholism being a disease just an view/opinion,doesn't make it anymore truer than the two Americans views who founded AA.

As for Chloe -Jasmine I haven't noticed but has she not drank at all in the house then??
