Corrie: Why is 51 year old Lloyd being painted as some sort of stud?
Gusto Brunt

Having it off with his girlfriend Andrea, then Liz, now back with the girlfriend...

...who is by the way 15 years younger than him.

What a stupid storyline...

I laughed when Andrea was begging Lloyd to take her back; 'I love you so much.'

What is there to love about him? One of the most boring characters in Corrie.
Purple.

To be fair, Liz would sleep with anyone.

This.

I think Andrea genuinely loves him and Liz just heard he was single and pounced

How does Andrea have a grown up daughter when she's 37

It's not his age that makes him unattractive, he's just boring and has always been a fuddy duddy. Ray Winstone is older and is still hot.

I agree with you, I don't know how he does it really.

A more realistic pairing would have been Mary and Lloyd

Liz had Andy and Steve when she was 16.
Sarah had Bethany when she was 13
Faye had Miley when she was 13.
Katy had Joseph when she was 16.
Michelle had (a) Ryan when she was a teenager

I bet a lot of us knew girls at school who had babies, too, so it's not exactly too much of a stretch for a 37 year old to have a grown up daughter.

I agree with Espresso. There are lots of teenage parents in the UK. Many people from various cultures in Britain get married very young and have children almost straight away. I know someone who had her son at 14 and a girl in my class at school was pregnant at 15. In two cases at the same school pupils were sleeping with the teachers. One of those teachers left and moved in with his pupil girlfriend's family.

I think it was established quite early on that the reason her marriage to Neil broke down was because they were somewhat forced to marry because she got pregnant to him so young and stayed with him for the sake of Jess. Once she was grien up and at Uni, Neil was working abroad and Andrea was alone and searching for her own happiness when she went to college and then met Lloyd.

Seeing Lloyd sweat just by merely standing up, I found it really stupid how he was supposed to be going all night with Liz.

Very very stupid storyline.

It might have worked if it had been Jason but Lloyd...??...meh...

I think they should have left Liz out of Lloyd's exit storyline. Talk about rushing things! It was all too silly and pointless.

Lloyd's a boring middle aged duffer. He's never up for anything, never wants to do anything and hasn't much of an opinion on anything. His time's definitely up in the Street.
