How has Chloe being an alcoholic not been mentioned until now, it's all very odd?

I thought Austin went over the top, and I like the guy. Even if Chloe weren't an alcoholic all of a sudden, she didn't have to go and toast his brother if she didn't want to, although it wouldn't have hurt her to do so. If she has a drink problem, they could all have toasted with juice or water whilst she was in the room.

If he was that concerned, why hadn't he asked her sooner - it was last week that this occurred wasn't it?

On the other hand, Bobby should have left them to it. It was between Chloe and Austin.

I do like Austin, he's almost the identikit of a perfect housemate - prepared to bitch, argue, likes a laugh, doesn't back away from an argument, has a sense of humour, can discuss things sometimes too. He's a good blend of what makes an ideal housemate, in my opinion. He's in the game and plays it well. He's grown on me as I didn't like him initially.

I can see both sides of the argument. I think in a closed environment like that where you know the other person, it's probably better to just pay respects, just to keep the peace and not have to justify your actions. As well as trying to look like a good person in front of the camera. But, on the other hand, the way Austin was kicking off, I was left open mouthed because I was thinking that if somebody doesn't take part, that's their prerogative. They shouldn't have to be made to defend their actions. They've known each other 2 weeks. If Austin was pissed off to the degree he was because she didn't show respect to his brother, I think his ego is playing a huge part it in it all. And I don't even care for Chloe; she's like a lanky streak of steaming neuroses who doesn't even know why she does things for the most part.

I don't mind Austin in general, but he had a real bee in his bonnet all evening by the looks of things. And the way he took offence reminded me of the Stephen Fry quote:

“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so ****ing what."

It's not like he even gives a shit about Chloe and clearly doesn't respect her (although it's hard to, lol). I just wish there was someone in there who could have said to Austin after he was moaning about the disrespect to just say 'so ****ing what, Austin!' and not have to justify why they didn't take part.

I agree with Stephen Fry (as per post above ^^^). Being offended, and expressing it, seems to be the new pastime, encouraged by the internet in general and social media particularly.

I think it's diluted what being offended really means now that it's flung about willy nilly.

I don't buy it. Everything about her is fake, stinks of another "storyline" to me. Not saying I'm right, I don't know her personally of course but there's something very false and suspect about her.

Yes, I feel the same way. I hate doubting people, I like to accept what they say until it's proven otherwise, but there is something odd.

There's an article online from when she was in the x factor in 2014. Her ex-boyfriend said she was an alcoholic so it's obviously not a new thing. He also talks about her being with Stevi so they've been together for about a year now so it's not a showmance for the sake of BB

I can't fathom why Austin is loved. He's lucky Jarrah are in there to overshadow his nastiness!!! Ye Choloe and Bobby are irritants but I thought Austin was out of order and has a very horrible streak...Chloe doesn't like Austin (and it's apparent why as he's always taking the mick out of her) and she didn't know his bro, why should she toast him?

It didn't come from nowhere though. She brought alcohol for her boyfriend and hadn't shown any problems with alcohol before which we know because she had to tell Austin that she had problems. Also why did Janice tell her to stay in the bedroom

I'm not totally buying her alcoholism because I don't buy her relationship. I hate using Jarrahisms but Chloe strikes me as highly fake.

He has the most irritating voice in that house. It's so grating, like nails on a chalk board.
