It was much the same with Patsy Kensit last year - she just shone the moment she was out of the House and away from people like Perez Hilton and Katie Hopkins.”

I agree. Loud and obnoxious people actually crush the life out of people in the house. It's such a shame.

I dont' think they're giving Sherrie a fair crack either.

I agree, what is the point of putting them in there if they are not going to show them.

I completely agree with this. She said HERSELF, she was subdued and crying and hiding and cleaning.

I don't think it was all in the edit, although some of it was.

There are some big and loud personalities in there. The mood can change at the drop of a hat. I think she was clearly intimidated.

Such a shame - she could have been fun. I'm very happy (for her) that she's out.

Me too Penny and she has her pay check so all is well for her.

I have grown to like Gail over the years. Have seen her interviewed several times and she has always come across as very funny, lovely and grounded. However, I think being in a house with such obnoxious loud people would make me shut down and retreat, so I am not surprised that she did! Was lovely to see her so happy to be out of it and back to being herself!

Absolutely agree with you. Sherrie can be very funny (albeit dizzy at times). I suspect she's been quite the card in there, but we haven't really seen much of her.

Instead we've had two screeching banshees going for it, night after night.

Gail was positively glowing when she left the house.

If only she was this animated in the house.

I was lucky enough to meet Sherrie quite a few years ago on the Corrie tour and she is an amazing woman. She was like a whirlwind of fun and excitement, whilst at the same time, being gracious, thoughtful and considerate. She managed to make a huge fuss of everyone she spoke to and really brought a fantastic positive energy to the entire room the whole time she was there.

I really wish the producers would stop and think and occasionally let us see the fun and positivity in some of the housemates. I for one, don't want to see arguments 24/7. What's the point in having amusing , bubbly characters, if we aren't allowed to see that side of them?

I couldn't agree with you more.

I think Gail's always showed moments of comedic timing. But, this is why I can't stand these big, ugly, loud mouth contestants BB always use year in and year out who are termed good value for money. All they do is suck the life out of a room and bring down potentially funny and witty house mates who could have shone in the house. The only people who can stay relatively sane without the negativity depleting them are other camera whores who are vying for the stage lights - for it all to kick off with nasty slanging matches called entertainment.

It's sad because house mates like Gail never get to shine and are ultimately labelled boring. Has anybody in a real life situation had to deal with self-absorbed, manipulating, bullying, conniving, and narcissistic people in their own lives? The work place? School, college?, relationships, etc? I'm sure you all know at least someone and they are like an angry vortex that sucks the humour and life out of a room and turn it in to a dark, miserable energy. It's very difficult for decent, witty, intelligent people to function under. Which beats me why people would want to watch it and see it as good viewing.

I saw a sea change in her after she survived her first eviction. I wrote about that tonight actually even before she was evicted. She was less tearful, much tougher, dancing around, quipping and being more straight-talking and chirpy in the diary room. It's like the validation elevated her mood. She was cheerier in the first few days too. So obviously the house had an impact on her self-esteem and confidence.

Exactly.

I think any sensible person confronted with people like that would just concentrate on keeping their head down and getting through it without going insane.

I'm really not sure it is bad editing, more just them being more subdued in there.

Totally agree Rhumba. They are so much more interesting when they aren't screaming and you can hear what they are saying.

The interview with Gail was one of the most entertaining I have ever seen.

I'm glad she is out for her sake, but I do wonder if we would have seen more of her like she was in her interview, if the loud characters had gone before her.

When they played a Britney Spears song as her exit theme I couldn't help but think of crazy bald Britney 2007.

I empathise with Gail, a lot. I think of myself as a jolly person, but with those nasty horrible women, especially Farrah, my adrenaline would have been running in the house and I'd be more like Natasha, standing up to them. (side note-- I bet you Natasha would come across a LOT better without the stress.)

Gail's interview was great, she is lovely, just squashed in the house.

I wanted her to win.

Natasha IMO helped to cause some of the stress..as for Farrah Gail seemed to get on okayish with her I thought.
