If that wonderful interview with Gail has told me anything is that the editing of the show in the last 5 years has been criminal.

What a lovely, funny, witty and warm woman Gail is. So sad we never got to see this side of her

The focus on two or three characters in the editing recently has rendered all of the other housemates almost pointless.

Even though they may have all their own 'gentler' storylines running (i prefer these sometimes)

The editing now only focuses on the conflicts.

CBB15 - Focused on Hopkins, Perez and Nadia demoting more interesting housemates to nothing more than extras

CBB16 - Focuses on Farrah and Jenna and Austin rendering more interesting housemates like Gail null and void

Its really beginning to have a negative effect on the show i feel

They put 16 housemates on average into each series then only show 4-5 of them

Its just pointless putting that many in if this is going to be the norm

Hi Damon think everyone is just having problems with the forum and ds tonight.

There is a very good article in the sun today pretty much saying all of what you said.

The sun journalist says the shows has been totally transformed from what it was to what it is now.

Show pretty much now is obsessed with arguments no mark Americans and focussing on just a few housemates

I thought the interview was one of the best I've seen and definitely agree we saw none of that side of her at all.

That is exactly what has happened. Only a few HM's get focused on and you only get airtime if you are having arguments. HM's like Sherrie may be a boring but just because she doesn't have arguments it doesn't mean she should get next to no airtime.

The show has lost it's way, it's not supposed to be all about arguments and drama. If people think it is then they have been watching the wrong show and Channel 5 has got the wrong idea of what the show should be.

You are so right, the editing was always manipulated on CBB and not just this year either. It would be better if they brought the live feed back.

They want fights and bitching not a fun happy house, anyway given the negative press/twitter crap some housemates get during the show and for months afterwards by getting screen time by being a bitch in the house, you can't really blame them if some choose to be quite in house, getting as little screen time as possible, plus they do not get paid extra anyway for screen time.

So being an extra as you expressed on CBB is not such a bad thing given the way the producers edit the highlights show nowadays and the whole sale slaughter show that is BOTS.

Agreed. But Gail's been miserable on the live feed we have been getting. It's nothing to do with the editing.

There were so little highlights on tonight's show. If they were going to chuck two out then they should have done it on a longer show. I'm assuming they only decided to do a double once they found out who was up, and thought that they were disposable enough to chuck out two.

I thought Gail in her interview was just like Gail in the House. I saw her like that but I also also saw her teary and a bit passive aggressive at times. She was cleaning obsessively as well and she admitted that. I think we managed to see enough of Gail and the arguments elsewhere.

I think Gail was a bit hyped up due to being out, and her behaviour in the house was due to the atmosphere in there which shuts down those who aren't loud and aggressive.

I fI was editing, given the amount of tension there wouldn't be time to show normal conversations, which is a shame.

Live feed as has been mentioned shows more normal stuff going on, but it's only an hour a night..

It really was terrible. 8 or 9 minutes of highlights and two evictions in 60 minutes, yet they have one eviction in 90 minutes most Friday's.

I wonder what bright spark at C5 Towers comes up with these ideas.

Totally agree with the OP. It seems unless you are having arguments you won't make the highlights.
People like Sherrie aren't being shown and may be contributing more to the house than we know.
It's too manipulated now - such a shame.

I hate it, HATE IT!!!!! on BOTS when they call them "boring" or "They're not doing anything" or "I forgot they were in there". I'm sitting here watching thinking 'are you idiots? we are just not being shown them'.
Entertainment makes you feel good. It makes you feel happy, makes you laugh, makes you smile. The "entertainment" CBB provides makes you feel angry and sad. 95% of this series (and the last) has been negative crap that drags you down. The tasks have been created to provoke negative reactions. All obvious, all depressing and sometimes cruel.

Remember how much fun it all used to be? How enthralling a genuine, natural argument used to be when they happened? How you used to get caught up in the tiny simple things? It used to be a pleasure to watch not a chore.

I bet there's been some lovely moments in there. Some really sweet, touching moments that would make you feel good. Some beautiful friendships and a load of jokes and laughter but for some reason, they will not show it us. It's so impossible to sit in judgment of these people (and bother to vote) when we are not given the chance to get to know them even SLIGHTLY. When was the last time they showed us just a few minutes of a normal chat? Of someone telling another about their pets or a funny story or anything "boring"? It's those bits that make the show up and let us in a little.

It hasn't been a good series at all. They've made the format seem played out. Need more creativity.

It's partly because of the boring British line-up and partly because the directors are just going through the motions.
