I hadn't heard it before, just sounds like exactly the same note shouted over and over again.

Seeing the lyrics written down throughout this thread has been an eye-opener. I never realised how profound they were before.

I must be really ancient, not only had I never heard the song before, I'd never even heard of Fatman Scoop before CBB either.

Although to be fair, the only one on Team US I had heard of was Janice Dickinson.

Edit: Oh and the Baldwin bloke, almost forgot about him!

Yes, I know Chic & Nile Rodgers - still not heard of the song though and would never have guessed Nile wrote it.

That's what it's all about.

Everybody now..............Oh hokey cokey cokey..........Oh hokey cokey cokey..........Oh hokey cokey cokey...........

Knees bend, arms stretch ra ra ra

I never spotted the overt drug message of the Hokey Cokey in my holidays at Pontins I do remember dashing out the arcade onto the dancefloor whenever The Reflex came on though

My friend had the 7" single of The Chicken Song, I was dead jealous lol...course I only had it taped off the top 40 on Sunday

He had the Star Wars AT-AT as well the spoiled b'stard and I only had a second hand Millenium Falcon with the stickers put on a bit wonky

What was the other Black Lace dancefloor stormer? Was it 'choo choo choo, come on and do the conga, choo choo choo, it's conga time for sure'?

The other surprising disco fave was Russ Abbott of course

Shockingly, they didn't even bother playing his own song as he left the house. Surely that was in his contract?!

Oh, what about the song..........Leap up and down wave your knickers in the air. Was that a Jonathon King song?

I can't remember all the lyrics though.

Jonathan King is probably best not mentioned much at the mo - I'll just leave it that I don't think he was much interested in knickers, and I doubt even Simon Cowell will put up his bail money for this one!

I missed Adam Ant by a year or two alas Would've loved it Vague memories of Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick and some Toyah song from kids TV. Oh and poor old Eddie Grant - he really didn't want to dance did he?!! Nice beach though!

Now THAT was a tune.

I love watching old TOTP's at night. So many songs that I loved but haven't heard of for years.

It certainly was

It's very sad and astonishing that so many old eps of TotP will never be shown again because of...well we all know

Men at Work was and still is an amazing tune for me
