Haven't worked my round all the changes, but thoughts so far are:
* Shuffle all is back!

*Podcast is horrible. I want the option to display them as tiles back. Also don't want it to play the next available unplayed podcast. I want to choose what I listen too, and I don't like them displayed in date of release order. If there's ways to customise this app at all, I can't find them. Ugh, horrible. Any advice appreciated as it's one of my most used apps.

* speed and battery life both seem the same to me.

Calls on other devices settings is in the phone settings which you need to turn off. I've just read that the App Store was hacked by Malware in legitimate apps. I wonder if this has something tp do with the battery drain problems some people are experiencing.
The only options i have under Settings>Phone are respond with text, call forwarding, call waiting, show my caller ID or blocked - there;s nothing under Calls on other devices.

It's listed under WiFi calling.

Oh I see. Maybe calls on other devices is not available on iPhone 5. Have you tried to refresh your phone? Or reset your phone and install iOS 9 again?

Hi

I see the feature that enabled u to remove previous recipients from Mail has been removed.

It was a handy feature to remove email addresses that u didnt email to often. I'm currently running iOS 9.1 Beta. I hope they bring it back in the final release of 9.1 later this year.

Yeah the straight forward 5 doesn't support wi-fi calling. I've done a re-start of the phone, holding down the on/off & home button. How do you reset the phone & install IOS 9 again?

Best done through iTunes by connecting your phone to iTunes. There is a reset button on the phone also in settings > general. Just make sure you back up your phone first.

Was thinking of installing iOS 9.1 beta on my iPhone 6 but I have a couple of questions. How's it running, is there anything that doesn't work properly or is it all working fine?
Secondly how do I download it, I've been to the Apple site, gone to the developer section and signed in with my Apple ID and then I've no idea where on the site I start the download? I know you need to do it on the computer and connect the phone up but I just can't see anything that says "download ios9.1"

If you download the iOS 9 beta your phone should automatically list the iOS 9.1 beta in settings > general > software update.

Have you downloaded the beta profile after enrolling?

If the direct link doesn't work, it links from https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/guide

Just to follow on from this. When I got into the car this morning and it connected to Bluetooth, I got a push notification from Maps telling me about traffic conditions to work.
It's a feature in iOS9 called 'Proactive'

Thanks mate and d123 for the links, don't know why I couldn't find it

Anyway I'm all set and I've got the update waiting in my settings menu but I'll have to wait till this evening after work to install it. Bit surprised it's 1.4GB though? That's bigger than 9.0 was? 1.4GB worth of changes? I was expecting it to be tiny like 100-500mb

Pretty sure the final build of 9.0 was 1.4GB too.

The only difference with the 9.1 beta is the News app and new Emoji.

Nope not on my iPhone 6 it wasn't, think it was 1.2/1.3 certainly not 1.4gb, and the misses iPad 2 was 1gb

So it looks like the beta is not just an incremental update, it's io9 AND the 9.1 update all in one hence the bigger update size?

Just checked and it was 1.3GB, 0.1 of a GB out

As i said before 9.1 is just 9.0 with a bit of spit & polish, the News app and new emoji.

Newer versions of iOS don't get bundled together with older versions, they just get updated.

I updated my 4S with some hesitation, recalling how iOS updates have effectively bricked phones/iPads of mine in the past (iOS 4 on the 3G - wow, that was quite something). However, it seems to be running just find. Minimal additional features, but good to have it up to date for apps/security.

*Podcast is horrible. I want the option to display them as tiles back. Also don't want it to play the next available unplayed podcast. If you're serious about Podcasts, ditch the built-in app. I've used Downcast for years, really love it. Loads of flexibility, performs well and gets lots of updates. Costs a few pounds, but totally worth it. There are others too, have a look in the App Store.

But I'm already updated to 9.0, but the beta is weighing in at 1.4gb? The tiny update is not 1.4gb alone is it?

By this do you mean the font of the letters on the keyboard are permanently lower case rather than upper case as was the case with IOs 8.4.1? If so you can change that within settings.

All i'm telling you is what i and many others have noticed as different on 9.1, for only those 2 noticible things it is weird why it's so big.

Just the new model I believe. Not that there is any reason why older models couldn't support it too

Just joined the beta and downloaded 9.1, was very very easy, didn't even need a computer/iTunes! Got the new emojis and the news app which is brilliant might I add, lets you select which category's interest you then it shows you news that your actually interested in, looks quite good too. Probably other stuff under the hood but I've only just installed it on my iPhone 6 so I'll see how it goes, but very smooth and fast, no issues as such
